We keep saying Louisiana doesn’t produce OL, but S Van Pran is starting at center for Georgia and blowing up a pretty decent Arkansas Dline . I know he was never, well sounded like, he wasn’t coming here and wanted to play oos. La doesn’t produce a lot of OL , but the quality of the good ones are just that good Players. We just got to get them, all of the in state ones, I believe E Jones is in the mode of SVP and Will C will be great, hopefully West’s potential is predicted right, and I am one of the few that believe Bo B will eventually be a productive starter. We’ve just got to hit the dart board consistently and not let any of these hidden gems leave the state. I know SVP was ranked high (not hidden gem) but we need to start trying to get these in state lower ranked lineman and develop them instead of losing out on these higher ranked oos guys. This way when we we do have a 5* or high 4* they’ll strongly consider LSU instead of leaving. I may be in the minority but I believe Davis is a good coach and recruiter, and will prove to be that in the future if O lasts that long.

That is spot on. I think we suffered recruiting O line under the last coach. One thing I’ve noticed about Coach O is when he hears about a problem he tries to address it. I think Davis is a great coach and already seems to be pulling recruits. I think considering our staff overhaul this team is actually playing well. Only time will tell.

2 highly rated OL recruits in this class won’t fix the hole we are in. We need at least 5 highly touted kids to make a difference in 2 years. You think we are bad this year. Wait til next year

Van Pran wanted out of Louisiana and there wasn't anything LSU could do to make him change his mind. He actually said he like Ed O and LSU but that he just wanted out of Louisiana.

Until Louisiana starts producing enough good quality offensive linemen, LSU will always struggle to find good enough offensive linemen.

That's just the nature of the beast over here.

He only fired him once the recruiting violations came to light

Coach o is an idiot. The sooner people figure that out the better off they will be.
