LSU had the only day one true freshman LT committed in Kenyon Green and lost him. If it were Alabama and he committed to them before his senior year, they would have transferred his family to Baton Rouge and enrolled him in Dunham or had a trainer, girlfriend and various other handlers imbedded at his high school for 12 months and nailed the door shut.

This is all spot on. No pass rush, and our OT’s being absolutely manhandled all night did us in vs. Bama. Those things have been issues all year, but they were really magnified Saturday night.

Its only tougher because LSU talent has dropped down a level compared to 7 or 8 years ago. UGA and clemson seem to be competing with bama in recruiting and guess what? They are competive on the field against bama because of it.
Im not gonna even touch that stupid comment about holding bama to 29 points. So LSu's goals are now hey theres no way we are ever beating bama lets just play for SEcond in the sec west. WHY? LSU has the facilities, the fan base , the recruiting location , the money to pay the coaches. Why is bama a juggernaut? Recruiting Man. Coach O need to Step up his game!

Our weaknesses wouldn’t show up as much in the Big 12, or if we didn’t take a big time non-conference game to start every year.

I’m not sure if we’re a 2nd tier team or we’re the top tier team that consistently has the hardest schedule.

Take your top tier (I’d imagine you have OSU, Clemson & whoever) & ask yourself would their record & bowl appearance history be the same over the last 10 years if they had to play a top 15 OOC opponent, then UF, Bama, another random top 10 team (could be Miss St, could be UGA, could be Auburn) just to get to the conference championship every. single. year.
