In 5 years, Mack Brown has lost 2 kids he has offered in state, A Peterson and J McFarland, both to OU- impressive

Not entirely, but pretty close. Texas lost out on L. Seastrunk, who they offered and backed out on, Ross Apo (UT committ, then opted out for BYU), Ahmad Dixon (UT to Baylor) this year. Also Jake Matthews and Torrea Petterson (A&M and OU). Trovon Reed also got a UT offer.

A pretty amazing fact you can pull up on rivals. Texas has offered 32 kids this year, from around the nation, 24 have accepted. Unbelievable. Compare that to:

A&M 94
Nebraska 195
Oklahoma ST 132
Florida 134
USC 72
Ohio ST 60
Bama 119
Auburn 129
LSU 94
Tennessee 228
Penn ST 57
Georgia 108

No wonder Mack Brown is called a "lazy" recruiter by so many, he offers a 1/3 of what everyone else has, and still pulls the best class in the country. I bet he already know the 30 kids he'll offer for 2011, he's had plenty of time to focus on them.

Mexico, since Miles got here we've signed 8 guys from Florida, the first 3 never played a down at LSU but were good recruits rating wise. The others are Baker,Hatcher,Peterson,Shaw and Gore.Of those 5 4 were in one year and that loks like a great group.
OSU in the same time period has signed 13 players from Florida spread over every year. They've gotten 5* Micheal Brewster who is pretty good,Chimdi Chekwa 4* who is a good cb,Etienne Sabino 4* that was highly recruited by the big 3 in FLA,Jamaal Berry 4* rb,Duron Carter 4* wr,Carlos Hyde 4*rb, and James Louis 4* wr plus 4 other 4* players and a couple of 3* players. They were the second choice for Joyner this year and are serious threats for a lot of highly recruited guys in Fla next year. They have a consistent precense in Florida where as of right now we don't.Sure we will be in on a couple guys here and there but not consistently with the top guys.Last year we did a good job with the Sanford 3(Debose,Dye,Armstrong)but not really outside of that.We were there for Bostic for a while.I'm not complaining about our recruiting,I'm happy with the way we recruit, just saying I'd like to have the precense that they have in Florida.Maybe Gonzales will give us more of one there.

what's the depth chart like right now at ohio state?

Don't know about chart, but most early 2010 rankings I've seen have tOSU Top 5, some have them at #1.

I always like our classes to be top 5, but it's just not realistic.

Try telling that to the Rantards, who believe that if LSU doesn't have a bunch of 5* recruits & Top 5 class EVERY YEAR, all hope is lost.
