Shea is painting a bad LSU picture based on what his northern counterparts are saying. Word from him is that ND players have been told Gunner WILL attend class in South Bend tomorrow.
Still no actual word from the family, and no confirmation that Gunner has done anything yet that can't be undone.

At least one pay site seems to think there is a small chance he just won't be an EE. So...Still a small chance for LSU
Bottom line...it appears as of yesterday......he was coming to LSU. Les and Co. Had no idea this was happening and fully expected him to be there today at 3:00.

For all we know Les has been on the phone all night, it's a violation for him to talk about the issue at all.

Another possible explanation (this is pure speculation on my part) is that the Keils told Les that Gunner wasn't coming a little after Miller decommitted. Les didn't want the news public to prevent other EEs from getting cold feet. It seems pretty clear that Les didn't know about this prior to Miller decommitting.

Gunner was all LSU until today, which means this is a knee-jerk reaction by either him or his mother or both to him getting on the plane. This leaves LSU a slim chance. This is much better than the previous theory that the family saw the NCG and was completely disgusted with LSU.
