I have to say that I really don't understand why Miami would make the threat they made, unless they discovered something about him that made them not want him anymore. Otherwise, why not wait and let him make the decision?
IMO they made the threat to insure that they got the final official visit.

Ok. 2 Questions. First, will we know by friday if Miami really lived up to the rumor of pulling the offer(long shot). Second. If they do, would his visit here become an official?

Well what is the word? Did Brown send in his LOI or did The U pull the offer?

Don't know, but Rivals has him as visiting LSU on 2/27.

Yea ole Kiffin sure made the Raiders an offensive juggernaut. Truly one of the best offensive minds around.
Well offensive might be the right word to describe Kiffin....

I don't think anybody knows, Doc. I see nothing on any of the major sites.

Me either.
if they did, I'm thinking 80% LSU

so did miami pull the offer?
I'm sure the LOI itself has expired, but that is meaningless. Until you see the official visit cancelled, assume there is an offer on the table.

Not sure what to make of it, but on his Rivals profile page it lists 2/27/09 as visit date for LSU and "none" for Miami's visit date. However, they still have him listed as a Miami commit.

its not that hey pulled the offer. their original offer just expired. and they had said that if he didnt sign by then, they would not offer again. but they CAN offer him again at anytime.

nothing Miami does with him determines whether our visit is official or unofficial.

I really don't see BB going anywere but Miami, but who knows

Not exactly true. Brown can only go on one more official visit. If Miami were to truly pull the offer, it would be vindictive move for them to pay for the visit only to say f.u. in person. If they cancel the official, the Brown's would certainly use an official to visit LSU instead of paying for it out of their own pockets.

Lots of time left with this.

Incorrect. (at least I think...) I understood that Miami was his last official visit, you're only allowed a certain #. If he isnt going to officially visit Miami, the LSU could pick up the tab for his LSU visit.

i just thought it was understood he was visiting here.
and he had been committed to Miami for a long time, he knows what they have to offer. no need for another visit.

Thought wrong. He's visiting unless they cancel and they haven't yet. IMO this is why they leaked the threat. They wanted to insure that they would get the last official.

You could be right, it may be just that simple. However, he did have an official visit scheduled to Miami which is now up in the air. Thats the wrench in this.
