I remember watching that guys film. I think the same thing about Allen this year. They should have played back in the '80s.

Yeah I was thinking of him when I watched that film. Hopefully Antoine can get some playing time this year.

After much deliberation with my draft team.....

jembeurt selects Tyler Boyd, WR Pittsburgh

His height and weight vary from each site, but the average seems to fall somewhere around 6'1" 175ish. What doesn't vary is his stats from HS. As a RB, he amassed close to 4400 yards and 81 rushing TDs in his last two years! And now he is going to be a WR for a team that lost two of its top wideouts. PT is almost a lock this year, even without the added weight. Scout has him as a Safety, but I could see him getting the ball as much as possible due to his explosiveness.

Now I have to sweat it out and hope my other picks fall to me.

Nice pick.. I was contemplating picking him last round, but I'm not sure Pitt's QB situation will be the best one.

Very true, and that is why I think they might play him at RB, WR, and KR. Anything to give him the ball.

BTW guys, Pasty is out for the night. Me and Dan will be taking care of this tonight. RollTigers is in a long drive right now and will select in another 45 minutes to an hour. Still trying to reach JG for makeup picks.

Were you going after Johnson? Because he wasn't getting past my next pick. If that makes you feel any better.

Yea, I picked Boyd there because I have a couple of other players scouted closely to him to Johnson. I just thought the circumstances on Boyd were better for PT than Johnson and I didn't want to lose that. Pretty shitty because it seems that I would've lost one of them anyway.

Yeah Boyd has a much better chance of early PT but I thin Johnson will be a good one for tOSU

Sorry about that last night guys - I didn't expect it come back around to me so quickly! Anyways, here's my eval of Trey Johnson:

I think he's the best ILB in the class after Foster, better than Anzalone. He has offers from nearly every program in the country. His tape is vicious - an incredible tackler with a mean streak. He really fits into that mold of MLBs that Meyer really likes. Reminds me of Brandon Spikes in that way. I was going over my list of players on my phone last night and I was stunned Johnson is still available. The only major site that has him lower than #3 ILB is scout, I think.

I usually like to go after the 'physical freak' kind of guys, and Johnson is a little undersized and not amazing physically, but he's an absolute player and was one of the better performers at the UA game.

Anyways, I'm excited!
