You guys are all missing the broader theme here. Elite school recruiting is cutthroat at best. Everybody lies, rules are broken, and hearts are broken too. Meyer, Stoops, Saban, Hollywood Pete, and yes even our own Miles does it. Miles only real mistake here is being honest with the reporter. You guys are truly naive if you think this is an LSU problem. If you are really so upset by it then start watching lacrosse. Otherwise, STFU.

benton left his recruitment open by taking a visit to AU. He could have switched to AU that morning with absolutely no repercussions (see kenny bell) and then we lose out on 2 wrs. Benton is not some innocent victim here

maybe he chose auburn after being burned by LSU b/c chizik is a good enough guy and it was fresh in his head

there wasn't another guy on our board that was up for bell's spot we wanted. No reason to

bells offer wasn't pulled, bentons offer was
you can't say if benton acted in the same manner as bell and just announced yesterday things would be different

Your the HC, with all this pressuse to get Land the #1 player in the country, and state, what do you do?
Hold you guns and say good riddance to the Randle's and take all the heat for that? and then continue to hope Benton is here and then he is probably gone to the NFL in 2 years anyway? Still not cleared folks.. Randle has good grades...he is the safe pick.. you make sure you get him. I am sure Miles hated to have to do that.
The Randle Dad on the radio put Miles is a bad pickle...and frankly Miles gambled in loosing both... That would have been epic
And all the while, LSU was their first choice.. Amazing developments
