im not a recruiter, but being a 43 yr old human with a lot of personal interaction, I wouldn't have offered Tua until I had kiffin locked up. there was nothing to gain by offering him with the ASSUMPTION kiffin was coming. huge risk imo.

O Screwed Up Vs. Did His Job Offering Tua Thread
This is something Coach O will learn from. Or the new OC will handle QB recruiting from now on.

IMO, the worst part of this whole fiasco is that the only reason Coach O offered Tua was because of Lane Kiffin potentially becoming our OC. However, this backfired since we have no Tua, definitely no Kiffing, and now possibly No Brennan who has been 100% committed to LSU from the get go.

Coach O took a play out of sabans Playbook. Saban is famous for offering every kid that LSU offers. Just to try to spite us

Obviously you have never been in a position where 20 college teams are calling for your commitment and you basically ignore them because you given your word and commitment to another school. It's called integrity. Now he was told that the coaching staff is looking to hedge their bets and formulate a back up plan that may or may not include Brennan or Narcisse. So he decided to do the same thing, formulate a back up plan. I think that's pretty mature of him and a far cry from being a DIVA but you would have to grasp the concept of integrity, loyalty and being a man of your word to fully agree with that novel concept.
I agree Catfish. Brennan should be shopping to determine best fit. Staff should be doing the same thing, this is what happens when coaches get fired.
