Dude what's your point? I agree with all that. Let me help you out with my point. Star rankings have Absolutly 0 bearing on who gets a scholarship. So the comment about the two 4 stars for a 5 just aggravated me to know that people actually think this is how the coaches decide who to take. Yeah recruiting sites are fun and addicting to follow for the fans, but for the actual people with the power to decide who will be in this class "it dosent mean shite"
And the sooner you realize this the sooner you can appreciate how awesome our talent is in this state and how good our evaluation process is.

I agree with you that is stupid. The ratings are just a guide, the trouble is that people treat them like a given fact and also they treat things like we are playing poker. By that I mean, they think, well this guy is better, so its always better to have him no matter what. The truth is you can have a great team or DL in this case with say 4 guys that are 1st or 2nd team all SEC over 1 guy thats 1 team AA and 3 avg guys if that makes sense.

For people bringing up Fairley, yeah he was awesome and if you just remove him for their D they don't win, but if you replace him with say Drake Nevis or maybe Darius, they would probably still win it all. NF stands out in part because he was awesome for an avg defense. Put him on LSU and the D is better but I don't think we go 14-0 and win the NC. As good as NF was in 2010, Suh was better for NU and they did not win the NC in 2009
