With the way Louisiana and Houston breeds runners, LSU will never NEED to get a RB that is from outside the state.
No doubt! Houston, LA puts out some strong talent year in and year out.

Well shite, it's early so it is not like it matters anyway. But, at this point in the recruiting game every sign you can look for points to Auburn. I realize things can change quickly, but still.
You're not looking at the signs well enough then. Positive lip service from recruits does not equal "every sign." Auburn is certainly doing as good of a job as possible in recruiting him and the other big name guys though, and as an Auburn fan I don't think you can ask for more than they are doing on the trail.

I can't believe how many people are buying into Auburn being a clear front runner here
Like i said, i have no idea what's going to happen on NSD, it's too far away. But as of June 10, 2009, all indicators are pointing at Auburn. Can things change? of course, weider things have happened on the recruiting trail.
People who think Auburn is leading for his services are not just pulling it out of their arse#s.

-His comments on tape (wait til i get here)
-the Luper, Pastor, mother connection
-Seastrunk called the #1 recruiting "expert' at sporting news and asked for the #1 lineman's phone # so he could call him to visit Auburn
-He called Lattimore and convinced him to visit Auburn
-Drove 14 hrs halfway across the country on his own dime to 'roll a tree',but didnt bother to camp at UT or LSU
-Told Auburn fans we'd like his choice when he does make it
-Since he's stepped foot on Auburn campus, I havent seen him mention any other school nor has he stepped foot on any other campus
Either Lache really likes Auburn, or his pulling off the biggest whodini act in the history of CFB recruiting

Then it's a good thing that isn't the only sign.
I was also referring to Lache being in contact with other top recruits telling them to take a look at Auburn(such as Seantrel Henderson and Marcus Lattimore), Lache skipping out on a camp in Texas(which many people here thought was the school to beat) causing a majority of the Texas fanbase to assume that they will no longer be actively recruiting Seastrunk; and of course, the aforementioned "positive lip service".
And I mean, there really are more signs, but I think you catch my drift.

One of the coaches at AU knows Lache's dad
pastor friends or something
His interest in AU is legit
But come NSD, it could be LSU....closer to home, and he is an LSU fan growing up..from LA>....etc

Yeah, I'm not saying "LACHE IS AN AU LOCK WOOOO", I'm merely pointing out that Auburn can legitimately be considered a leader for Seastruink at this point. LSU is certainly in the mix.

Yeah, I think that's a reasonable way to look at the situation in June. Auburn is the recent leader, while LSU is one of 3 or 4 schools which will probably get an official visit.

To be clear, my guess is that most folks are talking about who he will sign with, not just who he is currently enamored with. We LSU fans know a lot about the importance of leading for a recruit in June versus NSD.
And don't forget, we've already been the flavor of the month once ourselves.
Why do you care what LSU fans think, especially in June?

I agree, I just like LSU chances slightly more in the long run when balancing everything*, that's why I have a hard time swallowing "all signs point to Auburn."
*How many times does a prospect, who has stated liking/being a fan of two different schools at different times, has such a prospect chosen the much further away lower profile school? Especially when it was a high profile recruit that will be recruited equally by both schools? If Lache had never been a fan of LSU, or if Auburn and LSU were on equal footing prestige wise, or of equal distance from home, I would certainly give Auburn the long term advantage right now. But none of that is the case.

In terms of national prestige, LSU isn't exactly light years ahead of Auburn.

If all signs pointed to Auburn right now, y'all would have a verbal from him. That's more what all signs point to him signing with a team right now looks like.

Not necessarily. A lot of coaches tell recruits not to verbally commit this early for various reasons, and Lache himself has incentives to keep his recruitment open.

Two national titles for LSU since Lache has started playing football. Three SEC titles, four BCS bowl game wins. In terms of a kid like Lache's memory of college football, I would say it is a clear difference.

Ha, so you are implying the definitive sign is there, it just is hidden. I don't think the word sign means what you think it means.

I am implying nothing. I have made clear my stance on Seastrunk's recruitment in an earlier post. I was just telling you that if all signs point for a recruit to go to a certain school, that doesn't correlate with an immediate verbal commitment.

Agree except:
Lache's pastor is not Luper's father (which you may not insinuate)
Lache went to LSU's spring game and Reed went to the camp last weekend.
Never said that Auburn fans would like his choice. I believe you are misstating the quote where he said fans would be surprised in how he mentions his choice. Completely different.
Question as to what FB groups Lache is a part of for LSU (?) as opposed to Auburn (many groups along with Lattimore).
Favors Auburn right now, no debating that.
