Better than Sanders, Walker, and Jackson?

Barry did more in one year (1988) than many five star recruits will do in 4 years.

i think richardson is better, but ford is still pretty damn good. he's a top 100 player and one of the top 5 backs in the country. they'll both be great in college. i think ford will be a slightly faster version of scott with a little more wiggle

+1

I watched both of their films and honestly i think Richardson is better now by a slim slim margin. So slim that bt this time next year Ford could be the better back. I think its safe to say both schools got quality backs that could potentially be All SEC type players.

Too close to tell, but if I had to choose I'd probably take TR.

After watching film...

Trent Richardson reminds me of Cedric Benson.

Michael Ford reminds me of Ronnie Brown.

Does either school really lose here???

I don't recall which poster on here said this originally, but Ford's coach has said often that he reminds him of Emmitt Smith, but with more speed.

For what it's worth, that 4.56 Rivals has as his 40 time was from his sophomore season. He ran a 4.45 at the LSU camp last summer.

Ford is your typical workhorse RB. He gets strongest in the fourth quarter. And if you don't think he can carry the load, he had 340 carries in 12 games as a senior. His coaches at Leesville high compare him favorably to Cecil with one exception. Ford has a much better work ethic and more leadership.
