Running through traffic: Michael Ford

Running in open space: Trent Richardson

Quickness: Trent Richardson

Strength: Michael Ford

Overall, both RBs are very talented. I choose Michael Ford since our style of offense fits his type of running.

Excellent point. Ford won't have to face LSU's defense on gameday, therefore he has the advantage.

Richardson ranks #1 in both inside running and downhill running, and #3 for homerun threat.

Guys, I'm being fricking OPEN minded here...all of these homers are going to say Ford, this thread is pointless.

Would this "ranking" happen to be on the same website that gave Alabama a rogue, nameless, non-existant 0* recruit who was worth 40 points???

If he's that good... how the frick did Bryce Brown get top honors in this running back class?

Have you seen EITHER play live? Just wondering because I've seen both and they are count hair close. Both teams got great backs today.

I'm not sure. When commenting on his inside running skills, they say he liked to run over defenders Earl Campbell style.

And Richardson tends to run out of bounds after receiving a few licks...and his Crystal ankles?

Sounds like a more "current" running back comparison would be to Chris Wells? Well's is great if he gets off first contact at the line, probably has the best stiff arm i have seen (at the college level) in a long time and has a great mix of speed and strength.

I sure hope he's faster than Wells.

Ford is the most underrated runningback in the country. Not even close here, lamar miller may be next with no love.

For a big guy, Well's has great speed, and he accelerates very quickly once he gets into the secondary. I really don't get the "faster comment". He's no Dempsey, but he's fast. Watch the first TD from the NC game last year against LSU.

Very close to each other. Ford was just underhyped by Rivals due to being "injury prone".

Which is interesting because I am told that Richardson never played a full season (various injuries, none apparently all that serious, but that kept him out of games).

It may have been his ankle naggling at him, but Wells looked like the stereotypical slow Big 10 HB this year.

Ford is the next Cecil Collins... without the questionable character issues. You heard it here first.

Doubt it.
