Max Johnson multi sport athlete

Being from BR but living in Augusta you don’t see many guys being looked at by LSU. Last night my son’s high school lacrosse team played Max’s.
Max is not scared to hit. He laid one of our guys out last night. Wanted to yell Geaux Tigers but thought better of it.

He’s a stud athlete. That’s what people don’t understand. Both his parents were division 1 athletes, dad a pro. His brother is a freak athlete too.
So, you have a stud athlete who also knows the mental part of the game. Yet, people want to dump him. Just silly. Watch what he does this year with healthy Wr’s.

He'll be coming in with stiff competition if Finley stays committed. If O can keep both committed, those 2 will make this class of 2020 something special.

In no way would I ever say "Dump him" about any kid currently committed to our team (unless they committed some horrible crime or has an 0.5 GPA). I would never say anything negative about one kid to help prop up my viewpoint on another.
Bottom line for this coming 2020 class, LSU is (for once) looking really good for our prospects at the QB position. Things will work themselves out. Do I have preferences? Of course. But it is highly unlikely I would ever share them with this board.
As long as we end up with 2 of the top guys we are chasing, it is gonna be a very good haul.

Why not share? Please elaborate

I'll take Haynes King and TJ Finley.

I like Johnson & King, if King joins the party and one of the other two lose their chest, so be it.
Competition breeds excellence.

We won’t be taking 3 QB’s in one class... if one guy goes I can’t blame them. A guy wouldn’t want to join a class as a 3rd QB, and LSU wouldn’t let it happen either. I would take King, and Finley, but I trust the staff.

Why Finley? (If it's because he's from LA, I get it.)
King plays big boy ball in 6A Texas, very heady, wont lose you a game.
Johnson is a better athlete, more polished at throwing the ball.
No wrong or right answers and like you, I'm of the same opinion, there won't be 3 QB's taken in this class.

Because he's best qb prospect we've had since Ryan p.
If you think johnsons on his level you're kidding yourself.

I keep hearing take king and one of either Finley or Johnson.
What about taking Finley and Johnson. King is only 180 lbs. I know not everyone ends up the same. But will he gain the 30-40 lbs to sustain in the sec?
We may have the two we want right now.

I agree, we got the 2 we need.

We always say a kid needs to can weight and be around 215-225 to survive the SEC but the winning QB of the Natty was 205. I think we want prototypical players but sometimes kids can play at any weight.

Lawrence is around 220 but built well, not skinny at all. He's got an athletic build.
Brennon and king are lanky builds that have a hard time putting on weight.

Obviously I do and I aint kidding myself. Tell me you're not comparing Finley to Perrilloux. Like I said, if its cause hes from LA I get it.
I want the BEST QB's in the country to be interested in LSU and for the staff to cast a wide net when offering scholly's.

Sometimes. But Brennan can’t.
