Exactly. If you guys notice, my OP was in Feb when his offer list was just starting to blow up.

It's relative to an extent. Sometimes ability to contribute is more important than the prospect of winning an NC. Only 1 team wins the title a year, but you can contribute to many teams.

If a kid wants to play at Michigan State over LSU because its a better situation for him individually, that makes sense. However, it doesn't change the fact that he chose a second-tier school over a first-tier school from a football standpoint.
