Talked to people in the know at Neville and Thibodaux High School's and asked them to compare to previous signees from their schools. Mathis to Lawerence and they say its not even close. Lawerence way better. Also said LSU had too many players in front of Mathis. Robertson was compared to Blast fro the Past Trovon Reed and once again they said "No Comparison" that Reed was a better and smarter player. More athletic also!! Hope this helps ease some minds about those 2 kids.

I would never fault a player going out of state to a team they will get some major play time for if we are loaded in that position but to choose to ride the pine for a rival team rather than going to your instate school. There is really no excuse for that. Maybe I could see it if the rival school they chose was a better educational option like if Vandy was a rival, but Bama is hardly a better educational program.

Ummm.... i played with trovon at ths, and im still somewhat close to the program and attend most all home games.... amik is just as fast and elusive as trovon was, he isnt as tall or long and thats really the only difference in the two.... robertson is a difference maker at any program in the country within 3 yrs... the guy works harder than any athlete to ever come out of this town.... id take him over trovon anyday and t reed was my qb/everything else lol, still got plenty love for him!

Who is this Mathis guy?
Just another kid who will be relegated to being an afterthought when his career is over at Bama.

Lmao i worked out in a facility named after the man, his #55 jersey hung on the wall.... im still willing to bet amik would go through any workout with eric... you just dont get it; this guy works extremely hard... trovon didnt develop this type of mindset and work ethic until much later into his career...they still go through the same workouts whenever trovon is home from california...

Are you serious? Do you know anything about Andolsek? You think he was just born with greatness? He weight 240 when he got to LSU. Dude worked his arse off in the gym training. He was 310 with very little body fat and strong as an ox when he died at 24.

Didn't give up a sack in a season and a half. I'm not taking anything away from Amik, but if your going to come here with this BS that he is the hardest worker to ever come out of Thibodaux you better do your homework.

Come back when Amik not only makes the NFL but becomes an All Pro because if not for his untimely death he would have been All Pro for many a years.

Yep!! William "The Refrigerator" Perry use to call him the week of their game and asked him to take it easy on him. Literally took Perry off his feet had threw him like a rag doll.

I know I went off topic here, sorry!!
