Kid is going to FSU just playing the field

Did Sam's father play at Clemson? Getting MEJ would be a steal but it's going to be FSU I hope that I am wrong.

Anyone know if Ewards parents will attend the official? if not, MIles needs to get an in-home to sit down with them. If he wins mom and dad over, and Edwards is tight with the fam, we have a great shot.

Didnt want to start another thread, and I admit to only seeing bits and pieces on Edwards, but is he going inside to tackle.
I read where he wants to stay outside, but he looked kinda slow to be on the outside in our D.
What is the word on his projection? OR did I not see his true ability?

The Big Cigar also said that Mario Edwards is still texting with current commits and players as we reported before, and that's a good sign. But he wanted to reiterate the job that Manny Diaz has done in this recruitment as being the most important factor. In other words, the Cigar wanted to clarify how important Manny's "sales" presentation was in turning the tide of this recruiting race.
"For most of Edwards' recruitment prior to the Texas visit, any school that told or hinted at Mario eventually growing into a defensive tackle fell way behind in the race--that is until Manny sat down with Edwards and his father. Manny Diaz flat told those two that Edwards was going to be playing DT in Texas' scheme. But he also said Edwards would play some on the edge, some as a blitzing LB, and sometimes even in coverage in a fire zone. The point is that Manny was completely honest with the Edwards family, and then he sealed the deal by popping in the film of examples throughout the season. Now other schools are having to play catch up because Edwards and his father know in their hearts that Junior is going to grow into a DT which will be his position in the NFL. Manny Diaz just found a way to navigate the position question landmines."
Wow again.

well then seems like Mario can just stand around the line of scrimmage if he goes to UT

Heard that Mario Edwards Jr.'s visit to #FSU was a home run for the Noles.
Well, LSU needs to make it a Grand Slam!

Every report even from the Texas side is reporting FSU had a great pitch this weekend. That said the FSU 247 site is very, very positive as a whole. They are sunshine pumpers of the worst kind(aside fron Jeff Lee of course). Would tread lightly on putting a ton of stock into what they say. Agin though even the Texas guys are saying that the FSU visit was big so it probably holds some truth. Just for future reference, take anything from Nole247 with a grain of salt.

Yeah, the stuff coming out of Nole country after the visit reads more like "rah rah cheer leading" stuff than objective analysis.
It seems to me that this recruitment isn't over and Edwards is really looking forward to seeing what lsu has to offer.

Seriously, his dad is an alum and he is the top rated recruit in the country. Did anyone really expect him to have a $#!++'/ visit?. He lives in Texas with family in Mississippi. We have a story yo tell and we will have our shot!. "Me too!"

I'm sure that he is a lean to FSU. I mean for god sakes he's committed to them. But he comes away from every visit with that team as his leader.
My only worry is that I feel we got on him too late. Wish he would have come to a game on an unofficial, and then we get him on an official now.
But there are a few times when guys have been impressed late and committed: Sam Montgomery, Greg Robinson, Ego Ferguson, etc.

it's too late in the process
his dad is FSU alumni...and committed there already
he is playing the feild...will sign with FSU
