As previously mentioned towards the beginning of the thread, his mother is concerned with him getting a great education due to comments she heard on his OV about players not having to go to class. As a parent, I can see her point. Sure the kid could remain healthy ad go to the NFL but what if the kid has a career ending injury? If the comments are true, what does he have to fall back on to make it through life? Skipping class and playing video games wont help him later in life. While I dont think players at MSU dont ever go to class, I can see how she would have apprehensions about his best interests because as a parent, you should always want the very best for your kids. Hopefully the family can come to an agreement on this soon and do so without causing any strife between the kid and parents.
If the guy doesn't want to go to class, what difference does it make where he goes to school?

He doesn't even need to sign a Letter of Intent at all, much less have his parents sign it. I guarantee you MSU would still honor his scholarship, as would a number of other places around the country. And he wouldn't be bound to stay should he want to transfer.

quote:Seriously? You actually believe the "You can skip class all the time at Mich St." talk. I know you aren't that stupid.
Yeah God forbid parents have concerns about their sons future.

Has it been confirmed that LSU has reached out to him since signing day?

Sue for emancipation on the basis of terminal parental stupidity.
