LSU's interest in Derek Meadow's

Shea on the radio saying LSU is surging and he is committing on Saturday. He was once a Notre Dame lean. Top 40 player in the overall.

This would be a shock. 6’5, 5* WR from Bishop Gorman?
I’ve never even heard this kids name. Always seems like we land some guys who never appear to be on radar until late.
I understand he hasn’t committed, but this is why people need to wait until NSD if they want to complain about a class. It’s clockwork every year. We are thin at a certain position and then boom, a high level player commits.
We have slow played in state WR’s this year, but if we can land 1-2 OOS 5* WR’s it’s worth it.

I know we always have in-state guys step up in a huge way at this position, so I'm not worried. But I would love to grab at least one of the three out of Meadows, Lockett and Ffrench.

Seems like Bama is the safe pick although stranger things have happened. I’d love to get his commitment just to piss off ND fans who have thought for the longest he was heading to south bend.

Meadows and Ffrench the most likely adds for Tigers. Don't see Lockett at LSU at this point.

I know early on he was heavy lean to Notre Dame. It seems he started trending to Bama after visit with them. Also saw on X he wants to play in SEC and LSU is trying to close here.

I’d rather flip Washington from Shaw and get Wright from Destrehan. Add those 2 to Manchild and we good at WR.

Has he even visited? It's not impossible, but it makes it a smaller chance if he hasn't even stepped on campus.
It's just weird, but as it was stated, for some reason, these are the commits that we get. Barely recognize the name and then a commitment date is announced and LSU is a hat on the table, but somehow it's that has that gets picked.

I mean we haven’t spent our NIL on a stud WR yet, and the allure of playing with the best QB in the country makes sense why we are trending here right before commit time.

Took his OV on June 19th. He was the only visited during that time. Hope Shea is right and just didn’t want to give too much away. Meadows, TaRon, and maybe Wright out of Destrahan would be a solid WR haul. Ffrench would make it an elite class but idk if we land him.

Yeah that would be a good WR class haul. I expect Wright to pick Michigan on 13 but LSU will flip him in the fall.
