I’m not sure if it should be excitement, but Guard is generally a better fit for a guy as tall as he is. It’s easier to get low and get leverage if you aren’t having the snap the ball. The move would also reduce the mental load on him. A lot of his issues were mental mistakes like blown assignments.

Guys can get stronger, especially when they are just two years in, so he can improve in terms of physicality. He wasn’t any worse than Turner in that regard and actually looked better at times when he got on the field last year.

All that said, he will have his hands full staying on field up against Adams (assuming he plays Guard) and Curne, not to mention other portal guys we may bring in. I wouldn’t be shocked if Chester is gone by the Spring window, but I’m hoping a move will be good for him.
