Well I didn’t see the reason to continue with Orgeron after he was let go. An interim would have been my choice but in all reality it would not have helped recruiting because almost all coaches were fired and support as well.
LSU was recruiting with a lame duck staff and a dead duck head coach. Other schools made sure recruits knew this. It was simply unstable and LSU is fortunate to have stabilized things with the committed recruits and transfer players.

I will cheer for the ones we got and the rest are Tiger Bait. One thing don’t understand is when their playing days are over the majority of them will have to find a job. It is a whole lot easier for a kid from Louisiana to go to LSU and find a job here in this state over someone who spurned the state. Whether we agree with that or not is irrelevant because it is true

I am happy with the outcome of the Portal but those are not high school kids who are being recruited for an entire season by schools all over the country while LSU has no one but lame ducks recruiting them.
The Portal kids put their names in and BK or whoever contacts them and it isn’t a year long process. If you don’t understand the time difference then that’s your problem.
I am tired of explaining simple schitt to idiots.

Because when Kelly arrived on campus he specifically said that his focus until the early signing period was over was going to be on those kids who had committed to LSU. That is how we were able to get the kids you mentioned. This means that Kelly and his "short"-handed" staff had about 60 days to make up ground that was lost when Orgeron was fired. We will be fine and my hope is that we have more of a national recruiting strategy than we have in the past.

BS. The now-fired staff never stopped recruiting until after the bowl. How you can just ignore the multitude of tweets of in-home visits after the Florida game is telling.
