So all 2020 commits on their OV, but no Emma?

Some of the girls did an OV last year and are traveling on their own dime this time. I did not see Emma when I was over there earlier.

Tori Tatum and Katylyn Johnson are here too.

Tigerbait - any idea what happened with Rebecca D'Antonio that all the girls seemed so excited about?

She has had some very good routines and has had some standout moments this fall. She is also a team favorite, very likable kid.

Is it to early to talk about potential lineups?
Who has been the most impressive so far?

So ready and excited for this season!

Still early but I think the base of all these lineups are figured out with some flexibility on a few events.

Kiya will be in the all around from the get go. She has been wonderful this fall and has actually been one of the biggest team leaders. She leads by example with her gymnastics, hard working kid. She has a legit shot to win SEC freshmen of the year if she stays healthy. She will be a fan favorite from the get go.

As the other poster said, Ruby and Edney are both looking strong on all their returning events. Ruby seems to continue to get better each year.

Kai is another true freshmen LSU will use significantly from the get go. Vault, bars and floor are her events but she might get a shot on beam at some point. Staying healthy is the key for her. If she can, she will be a pretty big impact for us.

I think the beam lineup will be the same at last year with Kiya Johnson moving into the 5th spot behind Campbell.

Just some other notes:

-Durante is looking extremely strong in training right now. Leaps are looking better.
-Edwards is looking very good on floor and vault. We will see more opportunities for her this year on floor.
- Kamryn Ryan has been great on vault and floor in practice, likely will see some opportunities.

Getting Alyona back could change the complexion for us on bars and beam. She is doing well so far and is ahead of schedule rehab wise.

So is Madison Rau coming to LSU as a walk-on? Based on Instagram it looks like she’s going to commit to LSU. Also, I think LSU has officially snagged Ballard. Just saw on Instagram where she commented she can’t wait to be a Tiger. Just something to keep an eye on.

Hard for me to see where Emma K. fits in. Unless she has a great summer in 2020, I honestly do not see her contributing any events her first few years.

I saw Ballard changed her profile to say future LSU gymnast! Rau’s profile also says LSU gymnastics. So excited! I like these two large classes back to back. Hopefully they’ll have more depth, which was missing in previous years.

TB does gymnastics rank classes like football with points per recruits and if they do were does this class rank? Seems like a really large class of great gymnasts.

There is a class ranking done by collegegymfans every year right before the season but there is no actual ranking system. I would Probably rank this class #3 behind Florida and UCLA. Its a very strong class, Bryant and Dunne could have gone to any school in the country. Elena was highly recruited as well as a former elite gymnast. The late additions of Chase Brock and Ballard gives us dramatically more depth.

As long as you are bringing in top 4/5 classes, you have just as good a shot for a national title as anyone. OU does not have #1 ranked classes every year and win. Elites come down to a more level playing field at NCAA level. UCLA and Florida bring in #1 classes routinely but never seem to live up the hype. LSU is in a great place talent wise, it would not be the reason should they come up short.

Last year at LA state champs, Julia Knower finished first ahead of Kamryn Ryan and Sierra Ballard. Anyone know if she is on LSU’s radar for 2021?

I thought Knower was committed to North Carolina. At least that’s last I heard. I could be wrong.

Looks like Alexa Al-Hameed has medically retired. So sad for her because I enjoyed watching her on bars. Huge loss for UGA.
