I'm sorry...where's he going? Oh yeah, Moo State. That oughta work well given their offensive prowess.

Being a man among boys in HS does not necessarily lead to the same result.

His loss, not LSU's...

I'm glad Ford is in the fold at LSU. The guy is a warrior. I know Conner is outstanding as well. I'm rooting for all these guys to excel at the next level.

i definitely want to see him do well, beyond it all he wants to be at LSU. i hopw he does turn out like brandon jacobs but i dont think he will, in fact i think he will end up at LB wherever he goes and be a damn damn good one at that

Perhaps but I'm don't recall the original poster saying Shows said Les and Co. made a mistake with Conner.

How was that supposed to happen? Walk on at LSU?

and i beleive it was more of MC's doing in terms of how the staff and him got along after that faithful "Conner is a Tiger" atricle that scike wrote. he had his feelings hurt and thats fine

You're basing that on?

look i hope he does well in starkvegas but he could have done better in BR listening to the staff and playing for his dream school

Did you expect him to walk on? Allegedly, he's never had an offer for a scholarship to LSU for either RB or LB.

I'm sure your vast recruiting knowledge far exceeds that of those bunch of monkeys LSU hired to Coach and Recruit for thier football team. You should march right down to LSU and tell them how stupid they are. Maybe they will fire the staff and hire you. Then you can put LSU football back on the map where this proud University should be

P.S. Thanks for thread Mr.Conner

You can watch the film yourself. It'll be online by next week, both games against the same defense. I have no dog in the hunt whatsoever and can tell you that Ford is not head and shoulders better than Conner. I'm not sure he's better at all honestly. Conner's bigger and faster than Ford. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why it was such a homerun for Ford over Conner.

the fact that he had a commitment article with quotes and then found out it wasnt a commitable offer or offer at all at RB.

its been a while but i was under the impression the coaches had offered him at LB, if im wrong im wrong.

I really don't give a shite. If Conner wasnt offered then theres a reason. Les and his staff have done LSU proud so far. I trust they will make the right moves in the future. Insinuating they are stubborn because they didnt offer a guy some fans think they should have doesnt diminsh what they have accomplished so far and with this recruiting class, which will be outstanding.
Maybe the door is closed here for a reason.
Either way LSU will be OK without Conner.
To praise Conner for his work on the field is honorable and i respect that.
To talk shite on our Coaches isnt.
Take that how you like.

thats what i have been saying cadello, same thing with CM, the coaches obviously see something we dont see and dont feel an offer is appropriate. this class is sick, might be the best in the schools history but yet we still have debbie downers becasue this guy or that guy isnt being offered

The article/committing debacle is the main problem here. I think Conner is the one that closed the door, not LSU.

So, you're not really basing it on anything substantial...just what an article may have led to..that's what I thought.

To my knowledge, he has not received an offer from LSU. So yeah, I guess for you it really has "been awhile".

Well then thats his decision.. I respect it and wish him the best. I hope he makes Moo State proud. Really.

Like I said, no dog in the hunt. I really think it was just a clusterfrick and now both sides are cold on each other. I wish the best to both.

I think the root of the issue is that Conner was picked over potentially two out-of-staters, when the perception is that he is LSU Caliber.

My only concern is if it affects overall recruiting in NELA where we know who also is well-respected.

Conner is an athlete people have a wide variety of opinions on.

Yes, that is also a concern. The guys on 99.7 sports radio just said they thought MC was the best RB in the state. Bottom line however, is what the LSU coaches think. I just believe they are incorrect on this one, I realize they are 99% correct or we wouldnt have the depth we have now. MC has the best balance I've ever seen.

On that point i can understand the concern.
I for one liked Conner a lot but shite happens, you just move on.
I would think any player that really wants to come to LSU and is offered a scholly won't turn it down because of this.
And hopefully in the future situations like this will be avoided, because really no one wins here.
