LSU coaches are VERY wrong not to get Montrell Conner.......

He dominated West Monroe tonight. The only reason he didnt have 300 yards is that the Ouachita coaches forgot he played on their team the second half until the final drive (idiotic). He twice actually threw Mingo to the side - he was a true man among boys out there. Its a very very big mistake for LSU to miss out on this kid. He is the best I have seen in a long time. Shows was really giving him some praise.

Yeah, they make up their minds and are too stubborn to change it. They are simply wrong on this one. he was very good as a junior, he is excellent as a senior. Definitely should be with LSU as a RB.

I am not going to lose sleep about LSU not having a running back.

jeff, i understand what you mean but i dont agree. he could end up being an all sec RB but he would definitely be an All SEC LB, he is the stubborn one, he obviously knows better than our coaching staff atm projecting posistion talent at the next level. he wants the rock so he can be on TV more in college, he would have had his face all over the screen at LB at LSU but instead he will be on the raycom GOTW as RB/FB at MSU

I think we'll be okay with Michael Ford, Dexter Pratt and possibly Christine Michael

I am not jeff, jeff is deceased. If you havent seen him play then you dont know. I simply think LSU made a decision too soon. Anyways, Mingo was impressive tonight, he ran down one of O's fastest players from behind without an angle, made him look like he was walking he caught up with him so fast. Other than being thrown aside by Conner, Mingo had a big night.

sorry for your loss my friend, and i beleive it was more of MC's doing in terms of how the staff and him got along after that faithful "Conner is a Tiger" atricle that scike wrote. he had his feelings hurt and thats fine, but he came out and was saying that USCw had offered at RB and all this crazy stuff and ends up at MSU becasue they were the only SEC team ready to guarantee him the ball in college. look i hope he does well in starkvegas but he could have done better in BR listening to the staff and playing for his dream school

They may be wrong about Conner, we'll see...but being wrong about Conner does not mean they are wrong about the other RBs we have. There are simply a lot of RBs out there with interest.

MC is a humble guy, you cannot blame someone that has dreamed on being a rb and is probably the best in the state NOW wanting to stay a RB.

i don't think anyone is blaming him, you are just blaming LSU for not taking him

IMO, it basically came down to Montrell Conner or Dexter Pratt as they are similar power type backs, and between those two, Pratt is better
Hope he has a good career at state but I wont lose sleep over it and Im sure the coaches wont either

Speaking of running backs, when was the last time LSU didn't have a good running back? Trying to remember all the guys in the Curley days.

I know I'll get blasted for this but dont be surprised when he doesnt end up in Starkville. I was told by someone very close to John Carr that Florida has offered and he is interested. Also, LSU did call back recently

him going to florida would be sooo dumb on his part
meyer doesnt know how to use runningbacks at all and that offense is only suited to superfast scat backs
miss state might not be very good but they at least know how to run the ball and have a commitment to doing so

A lot of folks say this. The kid has played running back his entire life. What makes everyone believe he would be that great of a LB? I never understood this.

I'm sorry...where's he going? Oh yeah, Moo State. That oughta work well given their offensive prowess.
Being a man among boys in HS does not necessarily lead to the same result.
His loss, not LSU's...

Florida is not the only school interested in him now. He is starting to get interest from many schools. I would be surprised to see him end up at Moo U now.
