The one thing i have noticed about recruits that LSU are going after, when asked what school is coming after them the hardest LSU is never mentioned.

Hawkins has not committed to Iowa. But I can still remove him, as he isn't considering LSU any longer. He just announced his final six: Cincinnati, South Florida, Iowa, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech & West Virginia.

Not much buzz around here on Buggs, but he is a unknown, but great talent that UNC has inquired on also. He wasn't recruited out of HS, and blossomed over the summer, and he now has several offers.

You're right on that boat that this is a typical Anderson guy, not well known around the country. Nolan did the same thing. Found players who fit his system and won with them, but he also got his fair share of top guys.

Signing day hasn't arrived, so they haven't signed anyone yet. He could be committed, but they have done a good job of keeping it a secret, if so.

That link says that Peabody and St. Aug play on Nov. 10. Can anybody verify a date and location for this game? It is not on the website of either school.

Rivals list Jones with an offer from LSU but no commitment. Has anyone seen him play? No ranking from Rivals so wasn't sure how good he actually is. If anyone has seen him thoughts? is he a 3 or a 4?

I saw him play at the Hall of Fame classic in Hammond and he looked ok, I would say he's a 4 man and I'm not sure If he's a legit 6'7, He could be but it was hard to tell, he didn't do a lot that day as for as skill wise.

That game is Nov 10th at OP Walker. Its the late game of 3, for a preseason Hall of Fame game set up. From what I heard, Riverside and Salmen didn't want to play Peabody and St. Aug would. So its happening, just won't count. The six teams are Riverside, Salmen, Peabody, St. Aug, OP Walker and Biloxi of Mississippi. Don't know who plays who in the other 2.

As far as Troy, he averaged 18 and 7 last year I believe, but was overshadowed by Dee Wagner. He is more of a 4 but we play him at the 5 cause he's all we got with that kind of height. He can hold his own though. Last year against Riverside he held Gathers pretty well. Gathers had 12 and 15 but mostly when we had our 6'2 Power Forward on him. He won't have so much on his shoulders this year if Duan in stating like he should.

What is his legit size? Does he have an offer from LSU and where do you expect him to sign?

He's really about 6'5, maybe 6'6. From what I heard, he did have an offer from when Trent came down for the Quarter against Washington Marion, but where he will sign, I don't know. All I can tell you is that Smith guides his kids to where they can play immediately instead of sitting on the bench so it could be anywhere. I know Tech offered Jones and Ivory, if they offer Wagner, I could see all 3 going there but I doubt that scenario.

He was about 6'4/6'5 last year at the top 28. Not real impressive, didn't do much in either the semis or finals. Don't know how he did this summer or if he played at all. He definitely can't play the three, he has no handles or jump shot. I think is too small to play the 4. He would be a better fit at a division II school in my opinion if he wants to actually get minutes at the college level. The Wagner kid is what makes them go, if he was not scoring the warhorses weren't scoring.

There you are wrong, that kid has handles and has a jump shot. I've seen him rebound the ball and drive to the other end and dunk on his own. He'll actually rather step out than bang underneath, and he's always been like that. He takes a lot of jump shots. He is a 3, but like I said, he's a 5 out of necessity. In the top 28, you saw 2 games that he couldn't do anything tho. He's always had the problem playing guys stronger than him and Dwayne Benjiman neutralized him but luckily, Northside couldn't hit the side of a barn last year. Now against Bossier, he should have dominated but he didn't show up and that one I give you was just on his part, but for the most part we get great production from him. Like I said last year, he averaged 18 and 7(rebounds), Wagner averaged 20 and 7(assists) so that balanced all year is what drove us and its what killed us against Bossier. Wagner is just going to do him and I don't think anyone is going to stop him. We're hoping the maturity outside of Wagner has grown because we have 8 seniors this year, this is the year though, we'll be good next year, I don't think we'll have a championship run type team for 2 years after this.

So is he a 4 or a 3 in college? If a 4 is he big enough?

In my opinion, a 3. He's got post up skills but after last year, not very comfortable with them. He still prefers to shoot mid range, elbow in rather than bang with the muscle down low, frankly, he's just too small weight wise to do it. But if he puts on the weight, grows a little bit, he can be a suitable 4.

Most definitely, its a shame. Ain't I sat back and watched LSU go after Hickey out of state this year at 5'8, he may have a inch on Dee but from the tape I saw, Dee was better, so I really can't wait to see what Hickey looks like this year.

We will see but I think St. Augustine my have something to say about that this year. And word around Shreveport is Huntington is suppose to be ready for a championship run. And If you say he can do all that he may can just going by what I have seen him do which has not been much.
