Imo if Gathers doesn't sign early and LSU shows great progress this year then he will be a Tiger

Well this list is everyone who has basically even mentioned LSU, so it is unknown how much interest there is in LSU, and vice-versa. I don't really consider LSU "losing" any of these players unless they visit, or at least publicly discuss LSU as a school they are seriously considering.

Was he giving his opinion, or basically stating it as fact. I hear these rumblings from different people and I never believe them. Is Jordy claiming this is a done deal, or is he just guessing?

pretty sure it was that game. i think at the end of the 1st quarter brady came on the big screen and started talking about how it was going to be an exciting year with an uptempo style of offense

I am beginning to be of the opinion that Trent Johnson is getting some flack on the recruiting trail based on his job security and lack of success. I predict he will wait until the spring to sign anyone besides Morgan. By that time, LSU will have had a good season and his future will be secure. He can then pick up some good spring signees, which there are always some good ones. Or he will have had a bad season and be fired.
Either way, the future of Trent Johnson will be decided by spring (actually, probably February as we will know how the season is going by that time).
His third option would be to sign some players early that are below the quality level that he needs.

He looks like a good player. It says he is considering Kentucky, but with the new rule about signing players you have previously coached, I would assume that he could not go to Kentucky since Calipari coached him on the Dominican National team.
Unless that rule only applies to high school, AAU and junior college, and not to national teams.
He also doesn't have a Kentucky offer, according to Adam Zagoria. UK could have him as a fall back if they strike out on some of their 5-stars. Because of attrition, UK needs to sign like 7 players this year.
