why isn't Pollard on the list?

Pure laziness by me but where did Pelle end up or has he decided yet?

quote:He hasn't been that good. Doesn't mean he can't be good this next season. He did show improvement in every area but his shooting last season. I was impressed that he was starting to show more maturity towards the end of the season. I just know that he is a much better shooter than he has shown thus far. Let's give him a chance like I am sure Johnny will. He may surprise all of us.
Stringer is just simply not that good.

He can shoot the rock and has ability to drive the basketball. Shot selection is the ultimate matter with him and with a more talented deeper team that problem should be corrected. If not he'll ride the pine.

I don't want to jinx it. I'm privately pretending that we have no chance at getting him.
If I get a confirmed report that he is considering us or has visited, I will add him.
He was actually on there for about 8 months, but I took him off when he cut his list 5 and we were not on it.

I hear ya! We add Pollard and we should be dancing! Man if "the bullet" could pull that off I gotta hope and believe that the fan support will be back full swing!

Judging by recent comments from Johnny Jones that he would like to sign 1 more post player, and maybe two players overall, I am lead to believe that Odoh and Pollard are all that remain on the LSU board for 2012.
I have no doubts that they would take Tony Trocha when he gets around to making a move, but they are not counting on it. Okafor was never a legit option, just a hot name floating around for a short period of time.
I think Odoh is a done deal, so it appears we are just waiting on Pollard.
The only other wild card is John Isaac's academic situation. However, I think our group of wing players is sufficient to man the shooting guard spot even without him.
So, as of now, we are at 10 scholarship players for next year.
Odoh would make 11.
Pollard or Isaac could be potential additions or subtractions. If we stay at 11, that's a guaranteed 3 scholarships available for next year, even without any attrition.

Is JJ's comments about a post player the reason for taking Swilling off? Just curious.
Posted on 5/18/12 at 11:01 am to LSUBoyd
No, Swilling committed to Samford. He never picked up an LSU offer.

Finally, this news makes me real happy. I always felt he would just be a body to fill up scholrships, and I am glad we never offered.

Great, yet shocking news. Would love to have him.

There's a full article from 24/7 in the Bama thread if you want to look.

Just to be clear, LSU is just among the schools that have contacted him. There is no evidence that he has any interest in LSU.
I don't see this going anywhere. Louisville is likely destination, with Kentucky a possibility if they want him.
Harrell attends Hargrave and former Hargrave Kevin Keats is on Louisville's staff.

He has visited numerous times and reportedly we are in very good position to get him. This was reported by one of the national guys at scout.

supposdly Pollard will announce at his graduation, LSU has 3 players on there roster that have all played with Pollard so that is a definite advantage compared to other schools, and like JOB3 I know for a fact playing close to home is a big issue
