He's been a starter for two seasons. I doubt he will be happy spending his junior and senior years player backup minutes. This is just my opinion.
He could definitely start and play 30 minutes at Southern Miss or La Tech or somewhere.

Stringer is just simply not that good.

Out of the two, I'm taking Striger over Turner.
Height is the only thing Turner is better than Stringer. Stringer is a better passer, defender, dribbler, shooter, driver, and foul shooter.

Not that we have the choice, but I would take Stringer, simply because we need a backup point guard.

I've heard that Hammink can run the point if need be??? That wouldn't be terrible if he can do sort of what Temple did in that he protected the ball and called the plays. I can't imagine he would create anything, but Temple didn't do a whole lot of that either.

Pretty sure backup PG is the only place Stringer is getting minutes this season. Need to sign a good one for next year.

does the signing period end tomorrow?
Posted on 5/15/12 at 9:21 am to pellietigersaint
doesn't really matter anyway. its not like if they aren't signed they can't go to school in the fall on scholarship.

Signing period ends tommorrow, yes. If a player has not signed by tommorrow, then they can just enroll in school. However, that means they are not bound by any commitment, so their recruiting could drag on until August (unless they go ahead and enroll in summer school).

pretty most LSU athletes do enroll in summer school especially football and basketball. I think its "voluntary" but its a wink wink thing.

Some more info about Shane,
Writen by Chris Mayes (CBA Canarias)
CBA top Group B and stay perfect at 3-0 with a 80-70 victory over Valencia at the Spanish National Championships in Zaragoza. Shane Hammink had a fantastic all round performance with a game high 28 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Oskar Reinfelds added 19 points and 4 rebounds, whilst Simon Krajavic also racked up 16 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. The victory earns CBA a Top 16 in counter with Baloncesto Torrejon A who finished runners up in Group A behind Regal Barcelona. The game tips off at 20:00 so as always you can follow CBA at the Spanish U18 National Championships on Facebook, Twitter @cbacademy.org and @cmayes21. Zane Knowles of Pearl River Community College signed with Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. He is a 6-10 center.
He was alleged to be an LSU target at one point. I don't think he was a serious target, but I believe LSU talked with him and kept on on the backburner for a while just in case.

Tyndall just got a transfer from Temple as well. Tyndall is big time. I predict he will be at a BCS level school in 4 years. If he does well for a couple of years and a job like Ole Miss opens up, he would probably be the front runner.
