caps lock homey.............try unlocking it

but I agree, Hamilton would get swallowed up in the NBA. His feet are too slow and he needs major work in the paint. he has a helleva mid range game but he needs work with his back to the basket. but this is the perspective of a fan who wants him to stay so tifwiw

LSU is not a candidate for Pollard.

I am very confidant about Coleman and Hammink. Morgan is signed, so:

Morgan
Hammink
Coleman
Post (Pelle?)
Post (Harris?)

Pickings are very slim at this time and no info is coming out. Signing period starts in a week. :yikes:

Only word on Upshaw is that he is no considering K-State or South Carolina. He is going to Europe for some basketball trip for a couple of weeks and won't make any decisions until he returns. I think he has used up all of his visits, as well. He will have to take unofficials, or commit to somewhere that he has already visited. He has not visited LSU and we were not in his finalists.

I can confirm that Trent Johnson personally went to the Canary Islands in Spain to Canarias Basketball Academy to recruit and scout Shane Hammink, his brothers Ryan and Nick, along with other players. He spent several days there.

He went there the week after losing to Oregon in the NIT.

Are there any other possibilities from Canarias for this year?

Definitely some players, but I have not been able to determine if there is mutual interest.

There has reportedly been a steady stream of D1 coaches at CBA for the past two weeks.

I found one roster that appeared to be the team they brought over to play in the Tourney in the States. None of the bigs had impressive numbers. Apparently a kid from Houston whose parent's sent over there for development but he is 2 years away I believe.

How many players are y'all trying to sign and who are y'all losing?

3 seniors, plus possibly Justin Hamilton. Also were already down 2 players.

Depending on Hamilton, that leaves 5 or 6 openings.

Already signed one (Malik Morgan), will likely sign 3 or 4 more.

Here's a Reveille article on recruiting. May even be using this thread as a source.

Shane Shavon and Pelle would be a great trio for us in this recruiting class. If we get them we should average about 70 points a game.

I don't know about their numbers, but they've got several players that are getting quite a bit of recruiting attention. Besides Hammink, there are seniors:

6-1 PG Tom Maayan, Committed to Seton Hall

7-1 center Boris Bojanovsky, considering Virginia Tech, Virginia, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Georgia Tech

Others with no schools lists available: 6-8 PF Quincy Treffers, 6-11 Center Matthias Runs.

For juniors, there is:

6-9 center Jito Kok (no school list available).

I'm sure there are others as well. The school lists are likely not up to date, so LSU could be recruiting some of these players.
