Yeah, I mentioned that above.
My bad, missed that. Saw someone tweet about it.

They need one or two guys that can create a shot or shot for others, I think that's one reason why they go on long droughts of not scoring.

Recruit Antonious Markray.... IMO he could have also have been selected as Mr. Basketball of LA in 2009 and now that he's at a juco as a sophomore he has had time to get his grades right and is putting up good numbers...

Are you just pulling names out of a hat?
Antonious Markray was a stud high school player from Springhill -- three years ago. He is in the same class as Eddie Ludwig, who is a junior.
He had major academic issues, bounced around at a couple of junior colleges and, as far as I can tell, never went anywhere after that. He has been out of JUCO for at least a year.

Luke Zumo, class of 2004 would have been the elite 3 point shooter LSU needed during their final 4 run IMO ...

You must be Luke Zumo.....who wouldnt have had the size to compete in the SEC. Yeah, you had a nice shot, but you had problems creating your own shot.....I remember, I played with and against you.

i wonder if they got florida and miami confused. someone posted a few tweets the other day and he actually claimed a miami offer before he got an lsu offer. maybe florida is interested.
i think he'd be a nice fit at all four of those schools. even iowa, if im a wing i love the way catens is playing right now. guy is on fire in that system.

I don't know. I'm still waiting on an LSU news outlet to pick up this story. I can't believe The Advocate, or at least Tiger Bait, hasn't done something on Hammink. It's a great story.

They are busy interviewing JL's dad. fricking terrible the lack of news on bball recruiting.

it is, as is taylor.
it is pretty sad they can't even come up with a blurb.

I think the Hammink story even transcends recruiting. It's a good story in general, with Geert coming here as a foreigner, his son is born here, Shane is playing for a power house prep program in Spain.
His mother could be an LSU athlete as well, for all we know.
One cool thing is that Geert is an agent in Europe. If I were Trent Johnson, I would have a deal worked out with Geert for him to funnel top Euro players to LSU.

Is he an agent in the sense of the word as used in the US? In the reading I did on Shane it made it sound as if Geert worked for a team that he used to play for.
I would assume he would be more than willing to talk to some of the guys who covered him when he played here. The guy freaking came back for the 100 year game all the way from Europe so obviously he still has strong feelings for LSU.
