Will Spencer Ware play baseball? I've heard he was a good player. Has anyone seen him play?

As of now it's strictly FB, but time will tell

I've seen reports of his fastball purely sitting at 90mph as of late when he was up towards 96mph in the circuit. Every lastest mock still has him going top 30, but this is huge news.
Thanks for the link MOT!

Baseball America updated their Top 50 list today. Obviously this isn't exact but it can give an idea of what kind of "buzz" is around the player, if they're moving up, dropping, etc.
29. Zach Lee (not in April Top 50)
43. Kevin Gausman (down from 18 in April)
49. Garin Cecchini (up from 50 in April)
Dropped out: Bedrosian (was 41)
Some notes on Deshields and Gausman in their draft blog today...
"DeShields had a hitless game Wednesday night in front of a lot of scouting heat, including at least three scouting directors. He's a candidate to go in the first round, though the area-scout consensus seems to be that he's more of a supplemental-to-second-round talent."
"Grandview High righthander Kevin Gausman from Centennial, Colo. has slipped a little bit on teams' draft boards because he came out of the gate slowly, sitting more 89-92 mph with his fastball. In his defense, he pitched as much or more than any high schooler this summer, then played basketball all winter and then had to pitch in nasty Colorado weather for most of the year. He was back up to 93-95 in his last outing, but his fastball tends to be flat and teams are also underwhelmed with his curveball and changeup. Gausman's team is in the playoffs and there will likely be a lot of scouting interest in those games, but scheduling could be tricky after Centennial got six inches of snow yesterday."

Jim Callais of Baseball America had this to say about Lee and the draft. Link is included at the bottom as he was also asked about Ranaudo. And 225 what the hell is the deal with that sig quote?
"Lee is a first-round talent who could go in the 21-30 range, but he's not going to sign for first-round slot money. Teams are having a difficult time gauging if he'd give up the chance to play quarterback at LSU at any price, which could affect his draft status dramatically.
His ability is undeniable, however. He has an athletic 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame with plenty of projection remaining—and his present stuff is plenty good. He works at 90-93 mph with his fastball and backs it up with a sharp slider and promising changeup. He has more polish than most two-sport stars, throwing strikes with an easily repeatable delivery.
Lee passed for 2,565 yards and 31 touchdowns last fall, with 22 of those scores going to Matt Lipka. Lipka is also a top baseball prospect and one of the best shortstops available in the draft. He has plus-plus speed, a line-drive bat and the chance for average power. His hands and actions might necessitate a position change, but he also profiles well in center field. He's more signable than Lee, as Lipka will give up football and has committed to Alabama for baseball only. "

The scouting report doesn't seem to high on gausmann. That sounded like a 5th-6th rounder report. Does scouting reports from other sites have similar thoughts?
Also do you know Hopkins from lsu-e stats? Does he have top of the rotation potential?

Gausman was highly thought of just a few months ago. He will still be a high pick but after this Spring it doesn't sound like scouts are as "sure" about him as they once were.
Hopkins may be injured. Maybe someone familiar with LSU-E can tell us more, but it seems like his stats have been the same for several weeks.

Those scouting reports are 'subscriber' material. Don't mean to be a jerk, but you shouldn't really post that.

BA's top 200 list is out today. LSU signees:
29. Zach Lee
43. Kevin Gausman
48. Garin Cecchini
55. Delino Deshields
56. Cam Bedrosian
166. Jacoby Jones
195. Austin Southall
ETA: Their report on Jones says that many scouts didn't follow him all that closely this Spring due to his high price tag (LSU signee, Boras client) coupled with some concerns on his projection. It still only takes one team to really like him, but that is good news for us.

Nevermind. Just found him. Do we need to keep his name out of the thread?

I'm not sure. I know he went on a workout Saturday before the State game. Not 100% sure he will sign, but things look good for him too.

He definitely has good numbers. I can't find anything on him leading into last year's draft. He must have really been under the radar, has really matured since, or he may not be the type that scouts love but just knows how to pitch.
Do you know anything about him other than the numbers...what kind of arm he may have, etc?
ETA: Just found a pic of him on their website. Looks like a Louis Coleman arm slot and from the grip it looks like he is throwing a vulcan change. I have too much time on my hands.
