Thank you to both you guys, I live all the way up in VA so I don't get to watch these guys. I'll be down there next year though, but I'm not getting my hopes up that some of these recruits will join me.
Thanks again Adam and MOT

Just read that Gausman's velo has been down recently. Obviously getting him here is still a longshot, but maybe that drops his stock a little and when coupled with the fact he'll be eligible again in 2012 maybe we'll have a small chance.

I'm not familiar with his story, how will he be eligible again in a year?

Probably a draft eligible sophmore based on his birthdate.

I just hope we can get these guys to come to school. Our baseball team can be scary good if somehow we can get our pitchers on campus. Especially Bedrosian, Gauseman, Eades, and Lee.

A friend of mine is going to watch his old HS play in the playoffs tonight and they play against Jacoby Jones school (Richton)

I will get some info on how he did in the game and get it back to you guys on here.

Adam,
Do you keep up with Louisiana high school baseball? There are a few local players in the tangipahoa parish area that are pretty good but I don't know if LSU is looking at them.

JUNIORS
Kyle Bracey - C/INF/RHP - Amite High School
Terrance Magee - OF/P - Franklinton High School - Committed to LSU in Football but might be better at baseball

SENIORS "TOO LATE"
Gabe Woods - SS- Albany - signed with Ole Miss
Dylan Hills - UTIL - Ponchatoula - Signed with SLU
both of these 2 are very good

I haven't seen Bracey or Magee.

Woods will be more of a defensive player and probably play second. I don't know if he can be an impact player in the SEC, he would probably be better off in the Southland or something like that.

It is a shame Hills had the arm issues a couple years ago, he probably would have been a high level pitching prospect. He'll be a solid third baseman or outfielder for SLU.

I have seen both Bracey and Magee play.

Magee is a solid outfielder with a very strong arm. He can hit for power and average. I couldn't find any stats on him off the internet but I know on the mound he can throw 86-87 mph from the left side.

Bracey is strong behind the plate as well as a good thrird baseman. A strong arm on the mound 86-87 mph. With better than average speed on the bases for a catcher. He should be in the running for 3A all-state catcher. I was able to find some stats on him off the internet.

Yes but rumors are that he is no longer playing football to pursue baseball 100%.

Yeah, I wasn't sure of the name but I've heard they had a catcher/QB that could play. Didn't he just move there this year?

Speaking of local catching prospects, Ponchatoula's sophomore Dylan Meyers will sign somewhere eventually.
