Losing any cb from the 25 class would be inexcusable

After underwood left, maintaining the cb class and making sure Anding , Pickett and Phillips stick together was the top priority. There’s a lot of smoke apparently about Texas and Phillips. If that is the case that’s ridiculous. The money we were gonna give Bryce should be use to maintain the elite cb trio we have man if we wanna get the db room back to where it needs to be we need to get all 3 we can’t afford to lose either one of these guys. The staff has one more day to lock down this corner trio I truly hope they pony up whatever funds they need to get that to happen.

Texas can outbid any offer we make. They have an endless supply of money. We have to play the portal game and hit on experienced guys where we miss in high school recruiting.

Except when we get to the Portal windows and we get outbid again on all the high level players and then have to settle once again. Continuous declining trend for the Tigers over last couple years.

We have to be resourceful in the portal. 99.5% of the schools around the country can’t compete financially with the Texas’, Oregon’s of the world. Most go find players who fit their system and want a chance to prove they can play at the highest level. Indiana, Arizona State, and many others are doing that right now.

Bro, you can’t force these kids here. There’s no structure. The coach doesn’t matter, winning doesn’t matter, relationships don’t matter. It’s the Wild West and money is trumping everything. Just stop expecting anything and play the cards (players) you’re dealt. We have money, but no we’re not in the same class as some others and we will get beat, it just is what it is. Accept we’re a middle of the road program with NIL aka buying players.
