It's early. Also what do you want him to do? Slit his wrist on the air to start off the conference?

CLM just mentioned that the remaining 2 scholly's will go to existing players on the team who've earned it.

FWIW Miles was NOT comparing Liggins to Big Ben as a player just talking about their size....which is still off but not like he was saying this guy is a Top 10 NFL qb just saying he is a huge dude.

I see rushers bouncing off Liggins.

We'll see. It won't be too long before Miles has a jumbo package with Copeland, Hilliard, and Liggins. That's a lot of meat to pick up 3rd/4th and short.

Good story about Avery Johnson's "joke" on the staff
Sorry, I missed this. What was the "joke"?
Posted on 2/1/12 at 5:03 pm to SA Tiger
Avery apparently spoofed the staff saying he was going to Bama as he was faxing in the LOI to LSU

"third party influential pieces" as a lesson learned this year... interesting choice of words
In descending order of weirdness, with Kiel's mom story being the usual fare. The topper (last one, below) is the story about Syracuse's assistant coach Sandusky's WIFE, and her part in making members of the team happy.
Gunner's mom crying as he left home for south Louisiana.
181 miles to N.D campus. Its to be expected. Any of you who have had kids grow up and go off to college, regardless of whether they were on sports scholarship.
I cried a couple of times, prior to my daughter graduating hs and going off to college. And she went to college just a few counties away, less than 2 hours, in traffic. I remember renting the moving van and moving her myself, when she moved from the Oakland campus dorm to SF to her first place with roommates for her sophomore year. I am glad she was not 1000 miles away.
Gunner was not prepared for the emotions that kids graduating brings up FOR THE PARENTS.
"a warm relationship" with the Assistant coaches WIFE Connie, in the case of L Collins (as "reported" on TD SEC rant, quoting LC on a Tuscaloosa radio station). There is a line being crossed if a wife is worthy of note as being herself, one of the attractions of school A. There is something off about Alabama using a wife in any recruiting relationship, even making a meal. (if in fact it happened, I must add for legal reasons)
I edited out comparisons to Auburn and their attempt to make religion and Auburn synonomous. Its possible that its genuine.
Its close anyway. Close enough. So, while its obviously lavished, its also no different from the style of some TV evangelists. You cant question it, all in all, because it might be legit.
Using women as sex workers is wrong. I do not believe there is any legit definition of what the Syracuse woman is accused of.
She was working. On the job for Syracuse.
It is of no matter that in the case of Alabama's assistants wife Connie, we do not need to 'know' of any actual sexual behaviors, previously or hinted for the future. Its bad enough that she HAS a WARM relationship with a high school kid not yet in the school. I DONT SEE HOW TO EXPLAIN IT.
How can it be right to allow that? Its a bad idea.
Check out the thread on MORE SPORTS BOARD about the wife of Jerry Sandusky, accused of providing oral sexual favors for team "members".
