If I play in the secondary and one of my good friends were playing at Bama, there is no doubt I will be going there. Saban is great and was always great with the secondary. Wasnt til recent that LSU became the school with big time secondary players.
LOL! Welcome to the last few years..You know the one's where JJ and JL beat him and his great secondaries. If you had to categorize Bama, it would be a great group of LB's, at LSU it would be a lineup of All American DB's. Jeez, anyone who watches Football this year will tell you this...Cooper is better than Saban, and Its pretty dang Obvious. Saban needs to recruit out of his arse to keep winning, LSU can do it with 3-4 stars.

Eddie Williams-5 star this year at safety.
Apparently, there is talk of moving Eddie to WR which frees up a spot for LC at the safety position where he "start immediately" opposite of Lester. Bama seems certain that they have him.

Please name one college db that Saban coached that has gone on to have a good NFL career as a DB. Now compare that with Ron Cooper. That logic isn't sound. If I were in Collins shoes I would look at the success rate of prior years players and who was coaching them
Ryan Clark - undrafted great nfl career
Randall Gay - undrafted great nfl career
Corey Webster - Second Round
Travis Daniels - Forth Round
Rashard Johnson - Third Round
Javier Arenas - Second round
Kareem Jackson - First round
Has also had more players drafted in later rounds such as Marquis Johnson and players who played one or two years in the league.

Calling Randall Gay's career in the NFL great is a bit of a stretch don't you think....I mean he had a nice year in '08 but other than that he just hung around.....however he will get his pension which is always good.

I'll give you Ryan Clark and Webster. But the rest fall off. Arenas is more of a return specialist/athlete. Johnson is second string.Too early to tell for Jackson. I can't believe you even put Daniels in there and Gay was serviceable but not great.

Where did these gentlemen attend college?
Seems like according to your list, LSU and Saban have been good at coaching up DB's for exactly the same length of time.
Go away TROLL.

Arenas is only in his second year. Not too early for him?
