Newly offered LSU linebacker target Ellis Brooks wasted little time scheduling his official visit. Brooks, a 4-star inside linebacker from Benedictine (Va.), will make a mid-week official visit to LSU, according to Scout.com. It will come on Jan. 16-17

Any 2 would be a good haul.

Prob a dumb question but besides "a midweek visit is better than no visit", what are the pros and cons of a midweek visit? I'm guessing he's coming in just to see facilities and hear out Aranda and his scheme?

By looking at his 247 profile I feel Notre Dame is our biggest threat. Brooks visits them on 27 Jan and they only have 3 ILB on roster and 0 recruits. Notre Dame is a bit of dumpster fire right now and I'm pretty sure the weather in South Bend is awful in January. Hopefully that will dissuade him.

He's scheduled to visit Oregon on Jan 14 and scheduled for us on the 16-17. Hopefully, he and his parents and aren't wore out from travel, being talked to and paraded around campus'.

The biggest pro is that he'll get dedicated attention from staff since they won't have 5-10 other kids visiting at the same time like most weekends.

Really like this guy, Gay and Phillips of course Chassion also but he's an OLB prospect and I think we get him. Playing the role of Key is just too much to pass up he will be extremely excited watching that tape and Aranda spitting game while they watch, with O in the background yelling some Cajun slang. Sure wish Allen would reconsider but these guys will be just as good if we can get them. Hopefully all of them, GT. Just think what this staff will do with a playoff appearance or a nice record next year with a full year of recruiting the nation. Wow man we can really gain some momentum quick. Let's go
