i think if barksdale ends up sliding over to LT and starts for the year, then La'el has a legit shot at starting there his true freshman year. he'd be coming into a wide open position battle. Andre Smith was good enough to do it at Bama, and La'el is that good IMO.

Imagine him and Freak going up against each other in a future spring or two in the next couple of years...that's going to be epic.

He got blown up on that play and then tripped.

Nice cheap shot by the guy at the end of the block.

I think if he grows an inch or two, and puts on a few LB's he'll be absolutely prototypical.

It's kind of funny how everyone on this site deep throats the guy. No matter how much they are right.

Only one time in the history of the Touchdown Club of Houston, an OL has made the Offensive POY. At age 15, he began having seizures, which were later diagnosed as epilepsy. He started on medication to control it and was able to continue playing football. Allowed only one sack in his last season, ended up with 210 pancake blocks in his collegiate career. He ended up as one of the better OL in LSU history.

I hope Collins makes the next step at LSU and turns into a great player. How a player turns out, no one knows. He has a chance, best of luck to him. Glad the Tigers got Collins...

Damn, that's who I had and swapped it out for Whitworth at the last second.

Faneca is probably the best OL in LSU history.

If Faneca would have stayed for his Sr. year and Faulk left. Where would LSU be now?

Alan started out being coached by Larry Zierlein
(Larry is up in the CFL). Then Hal Hunter (Hal is the OL Coach for the Chargers). Remember Hal coached Todd McClure and Larry coached Kevin Mawae, these two OL have been in the NFL for a while. LSU has had some great OL Coaches over the years.
