#1 Recruiting Class here we come!

So what you're saying is, your #1 recruiting tool to bring prospective student-athletes to your campus is renting a limo? I know I'd be proud.

This, I agree with...except when he has lapses (i.e. "the billboards are not a recruiting ploy" when AD Jacobs is involved and a helmet, vice a diploma, is bursting out the center of the image).

The sig character is cool. I can see him dancing after a few wins and more losses.

The billboard seriously isn't a recruiting ploy. Every school or its boosters/alumni put up billboards relating to that school. Exhibit A:

Which is in Temple, Texas I believe.

The billboard can easily be seen as advertisement of Auburn to all potential students because for most auburn students, Auburn football plays an integral role in student life.

Ross...

LSU = "Congratulations" and is in Baton Rouge.

Auburn = "Choose Auburn" and is in Birmingham, Mobile and Atlanta (another state).

Nice try, big guy!

Yes, his sarcastic reply, when you peel away the sarcasm, was indicating that a rented Hummer limo is more likely to draw recruits than Hybrids and smart cars. I understand what sarcasm is and use it constantly.

You are far too overanalytical and are unfortunately subject to a misconception about the meaning of that post. It was a complete joke with literally no underlying meaning.

I thought that billboard was only in Mobile. Well, the first time someone brought it up they had a cell phone picture of it from Mobile, anyway. I didn't realize it was in Birmingham or Atlanta.

I still hold that it is merely promoting Auburn to potential students moreso than trying to actively recruit football players.

What would you prefer the Auburn coaches ride in? A monster truck? Escalades?

They need to do the responsible thing and drive a Hybrid...something very small and practical

A rental car like every other coach in the nation....but I see your point, it would not be as "snazzy" as the limo .

I'm just saying, if Les and Co. thought they needed to rent a limo to get recruits, I'd be embarrassed. Thankfully they just focus on our top notch facilities, winning tradition and family atmosphere. Oh and the copious amount of hot white women.

See thats the thing, Auburn's big recruiting ploys are the equivalent of the reward for selling in the top 10 of World's Finest Chocolate at your middle school. Riding in shitty limos, eating pizza and doritos, throwing toilet paper around while jackoffs who stalk you on facebook scream in the background- all pretty fricking sad.
