Ok... I expect to be blasted here, but I'll post anyway...
1. LSU was the first camp on his schedule. He impressed the coaches with his field goals (made from 55 out off the ground), kickoffs (65-73 w/ 4 sec hang), and punting (multiple 40-50 yard w/ 4+ hang).
2. FL was next to last on the schedule. He was not even on their radar until they saw him at their camp. He blew away all 4 kids that they had been looking at for the past 3 months.
3. FL was the only other team to make an offer. He had interest from 2 Big 10 schools, but no offers. And Florida was really the only school that could have offered that would have changed his mind.
4. Yesterday morning, he called Coach Robinson and thanked him for the offer to play for LSU. He let Joe Rob know that he had accepted the FL offer and wanted to give LSU as much time as possible find their next kicker and punter.
5. LSU had not stopped recruiting a punter and kicker after offering Kyle. In a SCOUT.com article today, Matt Darr (LINK from the 2010 class, has already visited Baton Rouge.
Kyle made the final decision on his own. He choose 1A over 1B. Both schools have great programs, tradition, and great coaches. We wish LSU well.
OK, blast away...

Congrats to the kid as well. Christy was quoted as saying he would probably go to LSU unless he received additional offers which came two days later from Florida.
You going to blast Scout and Rivals when Bobby Hart commits to Florida State?
