The sad thing is Lane's not a bright guy. He's quite possibly too stupid to realize when he's crossing the line. If he gets nailed by the Infractions Committee, it will likely be for something done fairly openly because he was too intellectually challenged to understand exactly what the rules were. Unfortunately for UT, if it happens, neither Slive, nor the SEC, nor the NCAA will provide quarter.

There was no proof that Scott Peterson killed his pregnant wife(No smoking gun any way) The circumstances looked so bad his arse got cooked...as it should have.

the volunteers and knoxville sell themselves... what football player wouldn't like to play to 100,000 plus screaming fans...

kiffin and o are living off the success of others and have achieved very little... kiffin rated highly from southern cal successes and his pedigree, i.e. the successes of his father

and o... nutt demonstrated to be much better ballcoach, and coach payton stated o's work ethic at year-end was ridiculous

in 2009, the volunteers ought to look pretty good... they'll be driven and have solid talent but thanks to kiffin they'll sneak up on no one... they might have easily stole a win from one of florida, georgia and alabama

but instead each of these coaches and programs wants to knock little lane's arse in the dirt

if the volunteers get their asses handed to them early it will be a long year... if early season success they'll manage very well

if i were a volunteer fan or alum I would be excited about kiffin and the volunteers but more than a little scared - cannot imagine knoxville and kiffin have a recruiting class to match this one in the short term ~ two to three years

There is no evidence, but given what has taken place, the probability of it has gone up 90%.
