I welcome Tennesse as the fifth elite recruiting program in the SEC--more permanent competition for Bama and Florida.

I am suprised Kiffin has surpassed Spurrier so quickly in recruiting.

So, the fact that Janzen Jackson wanted to play with Monte and Bryce Brown wanted to play with Gran should come as no surprise. Also, someone said Tennessee stole a player from FSU? Brandon Warren transferred from FSU. Tennessee did still two players from Florida. Nu'keese Richardson and Marasalis Teague. Teague was originally going to play on defense but Tennessee was too thin at WR. So, Tennessee doesn't need to cheat to recruit these players. The coaching staffs history sells itself.

Actually Tennessee did steal a player from FSU, he just hasn't signed yet and obviously can't til Feb. He was one of the 3 that committed last weekend, a DE from SC Brandon Willis I believe is his name, it's either him or his teammate Corey Miller that also committed.

those are valid points...

UT is a great program... It sells itself. I am just telling you, a famous coach told me the skinny and we will leave it at that...I don't expect Vol fans to believe it...I expect them to reject the assertion

This HC knows better than some VOL fan who wants to believe all this recruiting success is because every kid is beating down their doors to play for this staff.. That is called being a fan...

you are not being entirely objective.

Your HC is 1-1 all time. A 34 year old HC 1-1 doesn't start signing the #3 class in the country by being a hard worker..

something is going on..and this HC I met with has seen up it close.

Just pray your staff doesn't get caught...because Kiffin has made a lot of enemies, people are going to be itching to turm him in on something

All, and I mean ALL programs have skeletons somewhere in the closet. The NCAA just doesn't have the time or money to investigate it all. The problem for UT is that everyone in the conference already hates half of their coaching staff. Every SEC coach that can get any shred of anything approaching a violation on UT is going to drop a dime on them. Couple that with your coach knowingly breaking minor rules all over the place, and you have a red flagged program. That's what you have going against you. The NCAA will scrutinize EVERYTHING. Just ask Memphis basketball fans about this. Everyone, including the NCAA, hates Calipari and they dug until they found a couple things they could actually prove. It wasn't much in the long run (The school wasn't directly involved in the Rose thing and the NCAA cleared him. The travel stuff was not a major violation), and it wasn't even directly linked to him, but it was enough to stick. The NCAA camped out at Memphis for a year and went through everything to get that. This is what UT might have to look forward to if Kiffin and his staff aren't careful.

Calipari had ALREADY had one NCAA final four appearance wiped out...You got "O", Gran, Thompson and The Kiffins...They can recruit....What kind of trouble has THIS bunch be in before?..Come on it's not like we are talking about Alabama..now is it?..

If you keep repeating it maybe it will eventually amount to shite.

Seriously though, we are all tired of you saying this same thing on every Tennessee thread for the past 3 months.

Congrats on playing golf with a mystery ACC coach...you are awesome.

We might have a down year, but I think it must really hurt everyone's feelings that Kiffin can recruit and he can recruit at an elite level. I guess it makes every non-UT fan feel better by making up make believe fairy tales on how we are cheating.

I know if I were a prospect right now, I could not go wrong with playing at Tennessee. You have NFL calibar coaches, a great support system (102k, state of the art football facilities, nationwide recognition0, and it is a top ten program of all time.

Probably because they're pushing playing time, saying that they'll be able to play right away based on the lack of talent there currently.
