We have heard Hillard like the vols. Wilson and Coach O are hitting LA hard. Johnson and Hillard both look like 5 star kids for 2011. Would love to pull Hillard as well. But it is a long time till NSD 2011.

Hilliard will need to get faster to be a 5 star.

Agree. I think they very well could both be 5 stars. (We could have 3-4 next year in LA)

I don't think it's over with Johnson by any means but it will be tough considering it's more than just recruiting invovled (politics).

I think most of the Hilliard stuff is coming from Tenn's side of things. Honestly I'm not worried that much about Hilliard. For one, it's a LONG time til then like you said, but also, I think he's ours if we play our cards right in my opinion.

Actually the golf course there is very nice!! Hotels are sprouting up everywhere and 1 main reason is the gold course.

Just too early to come to conclusions about him. He has some question marks

There aren't many 16yo locks to be serious D1 talents. We see young hype fizzle all the time.

Landry is the closest thing from that class to being a can't-miss guy, but even he is of average size and speed for a WR as it currently stands.

Who knows what can happen in 2 yrs time...these kids are at the peak of their growing stage

Although it is really early and we have very little idea what Hilliard it thinking and how that will change, there are more and more kids demanding that they be offered and recruited early in the process. Les likes to hold off on offers and wait until at the kids' junior seasons (understandably). We'll see if that will cost us a few kids in the near future.

How could you blame Miles? LSU doesn't need to jump on kids who are too young to evaluate to get an accurate projection.
We aren't desperate like Tenn when it comes to recruiting.

Further, why offer a 16yo kid who has some question marks and risk running off a guy like Lache at RB?

Show him some love...remind him he's legacy and we would love for him to follow Daltons footsteps in becoming a Tiger... But you don't have to offer a kid who you can't sign for another 20 months

I think Landry could be better than Rueben Randle. I can't remember the last time a soph WR in the state was as dominant as him and showed his level of athleticism. I just hope he grows a little more..I'm sure speed won't be an issue

What are the question marks and why would Lache worry about a kid who graduates a year after he does?

Lache would know we liked a high-profile underclassman) enough to offer... It would be a threat for sure - just like taking Christine Michael could have done last year
