Was just interviewed at the US Army AA Game. Great looking kid. LSU appears to be a distant second to USC.....

Any chance we get him? TIA.

He’s got a long long time before he commits

That’s obvious. Just wondering if our chances might be better than the recruiting boards suggest.

Definitely a chance. Long way to go, but LSU is looking really good if he doesn’t sign with USC. He has relatives in state, old USC connections on staff, and the name Thibodeaux... there is hope.

not to shite in the punch bowl, but, uh, he ain't leaving the West Coast... would be a cool coincidence, with the last name and all, but yeah... it's all USC, unless they royally frick up his recruitment/season...

Did y'all notice Grant Gunnel behind the sideline reporter (to the right of the tv screen)?

He was the tallest kid amongst all of them.

Wouldn’t that be crazy you would have K’Lavon on the left DE and Kayvon on the right DE

His family is originally from Lake Charles. He was at the spring game last year and will visit LSU again this spring. It’s very likely LSU will receive an official visit in the fall.

Here's an update Steve Wiltfong(247) wrote last week.

quote:

You might’ve seen that I went foggy on my 247Sports Crystal Ball for Kayvon Thibodeaux, the No. 1 player in the 247Sports Composite, after a long-standing pick in favor of USC. I believe the Trojans are down the list some for the Thousand Oaks (Calif.) Oaks Christian standout. I think you have Florida State, Alabama, LSU and Oregon in a better spot. One source believes the Seminoles lead as it stands right now for the 6-foot-5, 235-pound Thibodeaux.

So far he's visited the other 3 schools this spring. It will be interesting to see if he visits LSU again this summer, I think he wants to commit before the football season starts. I'm not sure about his OV schedule either.
