Soph. from Denham Springs. He set the school single season rushing record this year. I can't wait to see what he can do in the next two years.

Hi Kaleb...
I knew someone was going to say this, didn't think it would be the first response though.

Impressive--how does he compare to Fournette, the freshman RB from New Orleans?

Much more than alright. That was pretty impressive film for a sophomore.

Great kid and really good RB......will be fun watching him develop the next 2 years.
Not knocking the record at DS in a single season......but my boy Glenn Glass would have had that record hands down if he would have played entire games in our Senior Season of 85-86!
Either way.......kid is legit

He reminds me a lot of Rondell Mealey coming out of highschool.

Kaleb sat out the second half in 3 games this year. He had 226 yds rushing and 4 touchdowns in the first half against Live Oak.

The kid's vision is exceptional. He makes great cuts and has the speed to pull away from defenders. I'd like to see him add 10 pounds and keep that speed.

I've known Kaleb since he was about 6 and he's played basketball w/ my son......GREAT kid.

I'd say they are fairly comparable.....I believe Fournette may be a bit bigger though.
As the previous poster stated....if Blanchard can add another 10 pounds or so and keep the speed.......he will be amazing.

not bad for a kid that wasnt even supposed to start this year.
just wait until they turf the nest.he will get more yards running on the turf.

My name is Robert Graves (Mr. Robert) & I have been the official DSHS Football Statistician since 1975; therefore, the following stats are official and have been reviewed by me from the official play-by-play files of Denham Springs High School football that I have in my possession.
I agree that Glenn Glass was in fact a great player at DSHS. But more importantly; all the DSHS team members during the 1983, 1984 & 1985 football seasons were outstanding player in their own way compiling an overall record of 32 wins & 5 losses.
However; your information on how many games Glenn didn’t play the second halves is incorrect & I must set the record straight:
A)In the 1983 season (Glenn was a Sophmore) he got hurt in 3rd quarter of week 6 Baker game & didn’t play in the 4th quarter. But he did play in the 4th quarter of the other 9 regular season games & the 1st 2 playoff games. During the 3rd (quarterfinal) playoff game vs. West Jefferson Glenn was hurt on the opening kickoff return and ran 3 plays on offensive of the opening series but could not play the rest of the game.
B)In the 1984 season (Glenn’s Junior year) he played in the first 7 games’ 3rd quarters except in the Broadmoor game (week 2) in which he only played the 1st half. He was injured in week 8 (Glen Oak) game & didn’t return for the remainder of the season; including our only playoff game.
C)In the 1985 season (Glenn’s Senior year) he only played in the 1st half of the Central game (Week 10) but played in either the 3rd or 4th quarters of the other 9 regular season games and in every quarter of the 3 playoff games.
Kaleb didn’t play in the 2nd half of 3 games this season & didn’t play in the 4th quarter of 2 other games.
Thanks for your support of DSHS Football.
Sincerely,
Mr. Robert
