I saw that play on the sports. The pass was obviously a lateral as he was hit almost simultaneously with the ball arriving. If not a lateral then it would have been an incomplete pass as he never had it. I assume that is the play you are talking about because it was a scoop and TD.

-Ford had one of the best runs I've seen in a while. On his 78 yard touchdown pass reception, he made 2 to 3 nice cuts and ran away until someone caught him but it was too late. He looks great and has a very good burst

I have to say that I am more and more excited about Ford. I saw the replay of the short pass and 78 yard run on the sports. He will not leave SEC DBs behind if they have the angle on him. But he jukes or changes direction to make you miss and he is back up to his normal speed in one step. After about the third break of stride and acceleration he was finally caught from behind after he had already reached the endzone. The way he picks his move and weaves around for maximum advantage reminds me a lot of how Chris Brown did it at ASH before going to OU. But Brown got caught from behind immediately when he got into space and a fast db was on him. Ford runs away from the HS dbs he plays against. I don't expect him to run away from SEC dbs but he will get a ton of yards and spend a lot of time in the secondary. He also looks like a body builder and has proven that he can carry the ball on virtually every down.

I was sitting pretty much even with the line of scrimmage at that point. It was a quick screen and forward pass. Right when it happen I told my bro that if they had an officials review, it could go either way in terms of catch or no catch. But he also had a sure TD that he just plain dropped. To me he just didn't look comfortable. There is nothing to worry about however, the wind and short term preparation affected everyone.

Jones had a good half. I believe he had a forced fumble if I'm not mistaken. He reminds me of Mingo. You can tell he still has a lot of room in his frame to fill out and when they do they will be very good players/hard hitters. Like the other LSU and other D-1 recruits at the game, they stand out from everyone.

He's a tweener...too slow to play LB and not big enough to play DE...ULM is probably a good spot for him.
