Stokes told Tigerbait.com he had nine or 10 catches last season. He attended LSU's "Bayou Picnic" recruiting day with about 30 other prospects and committed during his visit

from 6'2" 200 as a HS defensive end in Muschle Shoals, AL (I wonder if he played for Curley Hallman?), to a 6'4" 240 TE in JUCO.

That's a significant weight gain over the course of a year.

and significant height growth.

and maybe its over more than 12 months.

Jeremy Shockey was a non recruited WR, went to juco, took some juice and was a major college TE recruit after one year at juco.

He was a no star in high school. I doubt anyone took his measurables after he his Sr. year started. If he grew two inches, that's a lot of weight there. If he worked out his Sr year and JUCO year, it wouldn't be hard to gain 20 lbs.

:in before wait until moffit gets a hold of him:

I went from about 6'1 to 6'3 during my freshman year of college and then to 6'4 my sophomore year. Not unreasonable.

Yeah, the height thing isn't that uncommon. Lots of people grow after HS. But putting 40 lbs on in the course of a year seems a bit much. The only thing I can think is that his HS measurement was taken at the beginning of his SR year, and his current one was taken recently, putting it closer to 20 months than just one year.

Speaking as someone very similar in size, he could easily put 40 pounds on over the course of 2 years, but it is a ton of weight for 1 year.
