Their qb is really good. He is very short though for a qb. He's listed at 5'8", but I think he's more like 5'7", and that's going to be a problem at the next level as a qb. His name is Jake bishop. I think he's started for them since his freshman year.

Googled Jake and saw article that his two older brothers had won 5 state championships starting in 2009 at Aledo. Looks like Jake won two in last two years. 7 in one family. That’s a crazy dynasty going on.

Aledo is the biggest powerhouse in Texas high school football. Those kids are used to winning when they get to college. That goes a long way in maintaining the elite culture we have now.

You need to have kids that are hungry. Kids that hold people accountable for showing up late. JaCoby Stevens Is trying to get Damone Clark to workout with him in the morning. You need kids that don’t quit when you lose. That’s what we have. Joe, Clyde, Lloyd, Jets they were hungry.

Tyrann Mathieu was/is small af. JJets is scrawny. Both are phenomenal. Size doesn’t mean shite at the skills positions.

Facts. Tyreke Hill is the same height, doesn’t seem to stop him from being a pro bowler

He could be a Percy Harvin type of player.

Y'all think JoJo would be a 5* at 5' 11" or taller? I do, the kid is lightning fast and can juke a kid out of his skin, not to mention his vision!

Mathieu is short, but he’s powerfully built. If size didn’t matter at the skill positions, then why are they measuring and weighing them?

Below average size with limited frame.

Not sure how this works.

Short, shifty guys have been great in college football. In fact, it seems to be an advantage.
