Jernard Jarreau 6'10" 240lb PF - Possible transfer

Washington has released Jernard Jarreau today. He is 6'10" 240 and averaged 5.1PPG and 4.7RPG in just over 24MPG last year as a redshirt So. He has somehow already graduated and will be eligible to play immediately.
He tore his ACL the first game of his Sophomore year and got a medical RS. So he will have 2 yrs to play 2.
Looking at some of his stats, he had a DReb% of 17.1 (433rd NCAA) and a block% of 2.9% (468th NCAA).
Oh, and the kicker is he is from New Orleans. Could see him wanting to come back to Louisiana. Noticed he is a Pels fan. With his size he could turn into a decent player.
He was a 3 star and #1 player in the state in the 2011 class so I guess that's how he graduated. Assuming he redshirted his first year and then got the medical RS after playing only 2 minutes as a sophomore... Here is his 247 profile LINK

I've been following him since he got there since it seemed like a weird place for a NOLA kid to land. I wouldn't mind him at LSU. We need some more size.

He wouldn't happen to be related to this 2016 Top LA recruit would he?

Both at McD 35 so I'd have to say the likelihood is very high.
Honestly looks like a guy who would fit exactly what LSU needs. Could be a very solid pickup. I'd say he looks as promising as Kasongo and has done it at a much higher level.

Strangely enough we haven't even offered whoever that guy is in relation to Jernard yet is the #80 overall player in the country. I know he's the same position as Skylar Mays, though...and the same size as Mays. But we will need every guard we can get for 2016 IMO.

His Washingto bio doesn't have personal info like most have, but he did go to 35.

Has there been any interest from the LSU side?

Source said he's going to Tulane

He was released today after Washington picked up a new commitment... Wouldn't have had any time for much LSU interest yet, however, I could see them reaching out to him very quickly.

Dejon is his brother or cousin.

I'm sure his source is inside and not media. He's a Nola boy so we can expect some people close to the situation to talk about possibilities.
If Jernard looks at the pro's and con's of LSU it would be hard for him to pass over for Tulane (If LSU reaches out to him).
He could still be close to family in Nola, and would be the missing piece to a team setup to make a very long run in tournament. He'd have elite facilities and almost every game will be on national television next year. There would be scouts galore at his games. He'd get to play with some guys who could make him a hell of a lot better.
Jarreau still has a chance at playing professionally. Washington media continued to talk about how much upside he has. He made over 50% of his three pointers last season. He hit his growth spurt late, and supposedly his brother is doing the same thing. I could see them playing together for Jernard's senior year at LSU.

Based on the info being shared here, this sounds like a perfect match for both parties. I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen.
