Anyone here seen this kid? Class of 2011, should be a national recruit. Already verbally offered by UCLA and Texas A&M. Had 26 sacks and 149 tackles from the defensive end spot according to rivals.

Could challenge Hilliard for that #1 spot in the state.

What's his real name?

What were his parents thinking about?

Wow, its not that he will be a beast, he is a beast. Is he a "holdback?" Evangel website said he is a three year starter as a soph, which really makes litte sense. I wonder if he isn't going to come out after this season ala JDB.

Yeah, I know under normal circumstances kids entering 9th grade have 8 consecutive semesters of eligibility but was wondering if playing substantially in 7th and 8th grade took away from that.

I don't think that is the case. At least not in basketball it's not. I played Tweety Carter from Reserve Christian and he was in the 7th grade on the varsity and then my brother who was Tweety's same grade played him when he was a senior. Not sure if football is the same as bball but I would think it is.

Thanks for the info fellas. Didn't mean to hijack the thread in that way, but was just curious since he was a three year starter as a soph. No matter, kid looks like a can't miss and hope LSU is riding that train the whole way.

I think the rule is if the junior high is on the same campus or same building and they share a prinicipal then they can play in junior high on the varsity team. Like someone said earlier alot of the small schools do this especially class B and C basketball.

My understanding is that Rasco has not been held back. He is 6'3', 230 lbs and very fast. He is 15 yrs old as a soph. I personally saw him run down a running back who had broken away and was outrunning Evangel defensive backs. Rasco caught him from behind and took him down on the 15. The team never scored on that series.

Rasco makes good grades, is polite, and has an incredible motor. He loves to play the game. He plays defensive end because he wreaks havoc on offensive backfields, but I am told he is so athletic, he could play linebacker, tight end, and maybe even wide receiver. He has great hands, but Evangel never uses him on offense except as an offensive lineman in crunch situations.

By the way, he made first team all state in 2007 as a freshman.

He is indeed an impact player and could be as high as a # 1 recruit in 2011.

If he were graduating this year, I believe he could play college ball right now as a 15 year old.

So, do you think LSU will offer him?

No doubt LSU will offer him. The only question is when. I cannot remember LSU ever offering to a soph. They rarely offer juniors until after they close out senior recruiting.
