This isn't true either. We've lost two big names for 2012 but your statement is completely offbase.

Ummm.....not really

Baby and Taz excluded....we've lost a heck of a lot more than we've gotten in the past 10 years or so.

Truth hurts

So now you qualify it to concern the last ten years when we're all talking about TJ's era?

Darrel Mitchell
Darnell Lazare
Brandon Bass
Glen Davis
Tyrus Thomas
Garrett Temple
Tasmin Mitchell
Bo Spencer
Marcus Thornton
Storm Warren
______________
Eddie Ludwig
Matt Derenbecker
John Isaac

That's every La. signee at LSU since 2002. The top are Brady recruits. The bottom are Trent's. I think you'll see the difference... You don't even have to get the huge names to get very productive guys. A lot of those guys on Brady's list weren't that highly recruited.

The difference between what? Ten years coaching and three? Or the fact that the state has had no talent since he's arrived, regardless of what happens in 2012.

take away all the 4 and 5 stars and Brady's would still crush Trent's. Darrel Mitchell, Tyrus Thomas, Darnell Lazare, Garrett Temple, Bo Spencer... Trent can't even get guys on this level?!

Man its time to let go. I used to be on the pro Trent bandwagon. I think the guy can coach but he can't recruit. If there aren't any players in La then go get them from Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia..

Greg Monroe
Terrance Henry
Brandon Moore
Storm Warren
Matt Derenbeker
Shavon Coleman
Markel Brown

And this years Top 2 are going elsewhere......not to mention some other guys who would help us that may/may not come here from La.

Just because they aren't ELITE.....still doesn't mean we can afford to lose good players.

We pretty much had no choice but to do so.

Mississippi so far hasn't been a problem.

We got someone from Kentucky.

I do remember missing out on a Texas guy and an Arkansas guy.

It is very obvious that we've had to go out of state. We are still in the running for some guys in the 2012 class.

It has been tough no doubt.

I just want someone to convince me the program is heading in the right direction. I've been to probably 70-80% of Trent's home games and the last 2 years were beyond pathetic to sit through. With getting O'Bryant I had some faith but this class is off to a terrible start. I honestly think this team wins 5-6 games and Trent is gone at the end of the year.

Not trying to defend trent here, but hopefully you're not holding him accountable for Monroe, Henry and Moore.

He said last 3 years......

2011 isn't looking any better.....bottom line, TJ is not getting it done in recruting.

I'll still support LSU Basketball but it's not looking good.

yeah he needs to go. Trent Johnson needs to be fired. Case in point.

In the context of TJ, not in the context of Greg Monroe and the early signing period. Don't be obtuse.

And naming players that haven't done a thing in college isn't making them "elite". Louisiana has been without talent since TJ has arrived.

I'm not validating anything regarding losing Gathers and Felix, it sucks. No mistake, it could cost him his job if the team doesn't perform this year.

With that said, people weren't exactly salivating over Felix until recently and even questioned LSU offering him at one point.

Trent has a lot to prove with this current class thats for sure. He needs to put something together because losing Bridgewater would hurt even more than Gathers

Very different players but I think Gathers will be an outstanding college player so it's by no means a certainty that Bridgewater outperforms him at the next level.

Not really, an undersized wing vs and undersized post... both should be playing football. Bridge is playing WR this season.
