ya'll from everything I see, we're not out of it with JJ by any means. This negative recruiting and the information being put out by various recruiting sites from schools is getting to an all new level of cut throat I think.
Rumors about Randle, Loston, Shep even and now this Jones stuff. All that happened was he went on a visit to Florida and with them fresh on his mind, like you'd expect......they closed the gap.
As far as I know it's still a toss-up between us and UF and we might even have the edge. We still have an official and it's gonna come down to the last day. Don't give up on Jones cuz I really dont think we need to yet.

As far as the negative recruiting stuff, I think we have a perfect case of how it works out. Terrence Toliver being a perfect example. LSU was getting dogged, he wanted to find out for himself, he did, and that put him off the other schools. If a recruit is truly interested in what LSU has to offer and all they are hearing from other coaches is negativitey towards our school, they will go find things out for themselves. Simple as that.

First of all I never said I was a "recruiting expert." But I do take pride in getting the information I can and offering my opinion on recruits given the information I have and I take pride in being rational and as well thought out as I can be.
That said, the information I had and that comes from various people who know about the situation and have talked to Jones himself have said we at LEAST had a chance and might have been......maybe even still are the team to beat for his signature.

Since you were not on the recruiting trip to Florida,all you have is internet speculation. Kids in Georgia don't grow up wanting to be Tigers. Shepard and Riley were not offered by Ga or Florida.

Well if information from people who have talked to him since his trip to Florida is internet speculation then yep, that's what I have.
Also for what it's worth...........I'm 98% sure Shep did not grow up wanting to be a Tiger.

How else do we go from number 1 to number 4 with out a heavy dose of negative recruiting. JJ has been to LSU on more than one occassion. People that are not interested in a school don't do that. It cost him money to visit. I

Oh yeah, with the girlfriend of his and the gymnastics coach. That was definitely one of the more interesting recruiting stories I've heard.
